This period property is both charming and stylish, making it the perfect venue for a romantic getaway for two.

Located on the privately owned Atkinson Ground Estate, this property enjoys a peaceful and unspoilt setting. The northeast head of Coniston Water is within easy reach, offering wonderful walks and spectacular scenery. Rugged mountain ranges are ideal for adventurous walkers, though the local area offers plenty for all abilities. After a long day on foot, a visit to the nearby microbrewery and popular pubs are a must, while the local shops are ideal for stocking up on supplies for your stay.

 A charming oak front door opens into an open-plan kitchen/diner, which boasts a delightful blend of traditional exposed beams and contemporary appliances. From here, stairs lead up to the warm and welcoming sitting room with its wood burner, exposed beam, comfortable sofa and TV, perfect for those romantic evenings in. A further stairway takes you up to the king-size bedroom, which has been tastefully decorated in neutral tones and features a decorative fireplace, slanted ceiling and delightful window seat. The contemporary bathroom next door boasts a fabulous whirlpool bath for soothing those achy feet at the end of the day.

Outside a small patio area sits to the front of the cottage, providing a peaceful spot for a summer BBQ or al fresco drink.

 

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely cosy cottage within a 25 minute walk of coniston village. Arrived late in cold wet weather so it was lovely when we opened the door into a warm and inviting kitchen with a lovely hamper of local handmade fudge and biscuits to welcome us. Beautifully appointed, cosy cottage on the edge of Coniston Village. Kitchen has all amenities you could need. Plenty of pubs and grub in the village too, and nicely situated for walks in the surrounding area. Parking space is best described as off-road parking. (Couldnt find a hairdryer so perhaps bring one as I had to do without!)

Very comfortable and warm cottage, in the perfect location for our walking and swimming plans. Low beams are characterful so beware if you are tall. Parking space very limited, only half the width of a car fits onto the kerb, the rest sticks out into a narrow lane. Not suitable for anyone with a large car or van.

Very pretty, well appointed one bedroom cottage on the quieter side of Lake Coniston. Beautifully decorated and very cosy . Easy drive into Coniston village with plenty of coffee houses and pubs to sample. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely cottage for 2 people & dog. The location is very good for walks etc. Would advise a car for longer journeys to Ambleside, Grasmere etc. Car parking space very small and worried about any cars driving past and hitting it (that didn't happen however).
