A beautifully finished first-floor apartment, ideal for couples looking to escape and explore the North Lakes with amenities on the doorstep.

Situated in the pretty town of Cockermouth - the birthplace of William Wordsworth - this apartment is the perfect base to explore the northern Lake District and western fells. It has the added benefit of having restaurants and bars within walking distance where you can enjoy a romantic meal or a few drinks out after a day of exploring. The shore path at Bassenthwaite runs the length of the west shore and the open-air theatre at Mirehouse is worth a visit. For something a little different, why not walk an alpaca or abseil 120ft into a disused quarry? A 14-mile drive away is Keswick which hosts the popular Mountain Festival with some world-class sports, outdoor activities, talks and films, with live music.

Accessed from an external staircase, this fully refurbished first-floor apartment is comfortable and welcoming. As you enter the apartment from the hallway, you will find a spacious lounge with a Smart TV. After a busy day exploring the area, you can look forward to getting cosy on the comfy corner sofa whilst enjoying your favourite film or reading a good book by the flame-effect electric fire. Just opposite the lounge is the double bedroom which offers a peaceful and calm space to switch off for the evening. Further along the hallway, you will find the stylish kitchen which is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Rustle up a homecooked meal or enjoy a leisurely takeaway at the dining table where you can plan your adventures to come. To complete the property there is a spacious bathroom with a bath to soak in after a long walk, a separate shower and WC.

You are just a short walk to the river and park where you will find lots of open space to sit back and relax on a sunny day. There is private parking for one car to the rear of the property.

A great holiday. Cockermouth is a lovely town with plenty of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, an ideal base for exploring the northern lakes. The apartment was very comfy, clean and extremely spacious with a high spec finish, appliances and private parking. The access was a bit narrow but secure and well lit.
