A luxurious, grand house set in its own grounds with views over the stunning Lake Windermere and your own private hot tub - you’ll never want to leave.

Ideally located for experiencing the Southern Lake District, this luxury home is right on the edge of the popular Windermere and a short drive to Bowness and Ambleside. For those looking to explore the area on foot or two wheels, you are surrounded by beautiful Lakeland countryside. Head to Lake Windermere for fun days out, with a range of water sports to enjoy on the lake or hire your own boat. There are plenty of eateries and pubs in any direction, so you'll be spoilt for choice for a family meal out.

Approaching this property down a private road, you will be in a world of your own. The spacious lounge looks out towards the lovely gardens and is furnished with relaxing sofas and a warming wood burner, and is finished with some carefully chosen pieces of decor that liven the whole room, letting guests enjoy the artistic tastes of the owners. A second lounge, an equally attractive room which also has a wood burner and features a Smart TV with Sky. Guests will pass the hallway area with another wood burner and relaxing seating in which to enjoy a good book. This leads to the sleek kitchen, which is equipped to a very high standard, offering a gas AGA, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and a dishwasher, as well as some thoughtful extras including a coffee machine and an island seating area, plus a round table and chairs. Off the kitchen, leading outside is a patio area with comfortable seating. There is a separate laundry space in a cloakroom, which is home to the washing machine and dryer, as well as a WC. Next to the kitchen is the grand dining room with a majestic table and chairs, plus patio doors out onto the decking. The first bedroom is located on the ground floor with a king-size bed and W/C and shower located in a room opposite. A staircase leads to the first floor where the property's remaining bedrooms can be found. The first of these is the master super-king-size room which benefits from a sanctuary-like en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and WC. The second bedroom is king-size and the third is a charming super-king-size zip-and-link, which can be made into a twin on request. There is also a bathroom with shower, bath, and WC on this floor. Finally, there is another super-king-size zip-and-link which can be made into a twin on request.

There is an abundance of outside to explore, where you have enclosed, spacious garden areas with views of the natural landscape to explore as well as a seating area with dreamy views over to Lake Windermere. Relax in the sumptuous hot tub, or fire up the large gas BBQ to enjoy evenings of al fresco dining. Or, you can simply soak up the peace and tranquillity that this area has to offer from the amazing decking area. There is private parking for up to five cars.

Please note: The gardens are hilly and rocky to the side/rear, there is also a fabulous elevated decking viewing relaxing area to the upper rear garden. This may prove slippery if wet. Use with caution: Children are to be accompanied at all times. The owners and letting agents cannot accept any responsibility for any accidents, whilst using the gardens or grounds, or any of its facilities, clients and their family or friends, do so, at their own risk.

Beautiful house in a superb position. Absolutely immaculate with lots of extra touches to make the stay much easier and comfortable. Highly recommend for a luxury staycation.

Beautifully presented, very well equipped traditional large lakeside house in a quiet, beautiful area of Windermere. Watch out for the badger that comes to hoover up the bird food around the bird feeder in the back garden! It helps if you are used to cooking on an Aga. All in all we had a superb week! Would come again anytime.

Absolutely gorgeous, light and roomy house, in a wonderful position near the lake with a raised decking area with fabulous views. The house was spotless, very well equipped, and lovely comfortable beds. The gardens are lovely, we were fascinated by the different birds visiting the feeders. The hot tub was an added bonus, very relaxing after days ouRead moret, there is plenty to see and do in the local area. There is also a lovely friendly pub just 10 minutes walk away. Fabulous views of lake from bedrooms and garden. Well equipped, spacious, comfortable house, both inside and out. Luxury beds and bedding. We loved the hot tub too. Good situation to local shops, amenities and countryside. Really enjoyed our week at Watermead with the family.

A great house for a family get-together after 2 years of separation. We travelled from Singapore and met up with family from the Manchester area and could not have wished for a better place for a reunion! Really great house, big enough not to be on top of one another and lovely kitchen /dining room for a special New Years Eve dinner. Thank you!

This property is well laid out and has plenty of space, both indoors and outside. Big BBQ and entertaining area, hot tub and extensive grounds. Inside there is ample space including two lounges and a dining room. Location is stunning with good views of the lake.

This is an impressive and beautiful house. So many different areas to sit and relax. It is very well equipped and each room is stunningly decorated. We had a wonderful week at the property.

We loved this place! Just a couple of issues. When it rained heavily the roofs of the small lounge and master bedroom leaked (we reported immediately). Also the freezer didnt seem to be working optimally, lots of ice build up inside but the ice cube maker at one point wouldnt work for hours. Minor things though, a brilliant holiday had by all!
