An enchanting and cosy cabin packed with quirky features, set on an organic farm amongst glorious countryside, yet still close to Cardigan Bay and its beautiful beaches. It is truly peaceful, all you can hear is birdsong.
If you’re looking for a slice of country life, look no further than this gorgeous cabin, set on an organic farm in the heart of Ceredigion’s countryside. You can even stock up on some of the delicious local produce on site at the farm shop. Close by is the charming market town of Newcastle Emlyn which has a weekly agricultural livestock mart and many interesting antique shops. Even though you’re in the middle of the countryside, the coastline of Cardigan Bay is also within easy reach. New Quay is the closest coastal town, 11 miles away, and famous for its bottle nosed dolphins. From here you can walk the excellent Wales Coast Path for as long as you like, taking in even more beaches along the way.
From the entrance hall, where you can even tickle the ivories on the piano, you enter the delightfully charming and cosy open plan lounge kitchen/diner. There is comfortable seating, and interesting furniture including an antique Welsh stick chair, and quirky desk as well as a TV/DVD, iPod dock, and a wonderful wood burner (logs included) with a traditional Sheila maid above. French doors open from here onto the outdoor decked area with wonderful views. The well-equipped retro-style kitchen/diner is furnished with an electric oven, gas hob, original 50s larder and fridge; a microwave can also be found in the entrance hall. The dining area features a church pew amongst its seating. Directly off the living room is the bedroom, featuring a king-size wooden bed with a remarkable oak headboard handmade by the owner. Next door is the bright shower room with views of the fields, combining modern and vintage furnishings alongside the WC and bidet. There is original artwork throughout this peaceful cabin which is tucked away in a secluded corner of the farm overlooking fields.
This property is just as charming outside as it is in; surrounded by established shrubs, it also enjoys a terraced garden with Adirondack chairs to the rear with great views over the valley and fields. To the side of the cabin is a decked area with seating, and a pub bench to the front of the cabin provides an additional place to soak up the views. The adjoining utility store houses the washing machine and is where you will find the BBQ, should you wish to dine al fresco. There is also a games barn where you can play darts, pool and table tennis. Parking is available on the grass around 30 feet from the cabin, but you can drive nearer to unpack the car.
Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
