This beautifully restored Cotswold stone chapel sits within acres of established grounds and woodlands of which you are free to roam, a perfect retreat for all to enjoy whatever the time of year.

Sapperton is a picturesque Hamlet in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty above the valley where the River Frome runs, offering easy access to a wealth of gardens, National Trust and English Heritage sites. The Cotswold Way passes nearby for keen walkers, along with the historic canal with towpaths meandering through the valley into Stonehouse. For those looking for a little more adventure there is the Cotswold Gliding Club offering day courses. Gatcombe Park for enthusiastic eventers, Bath, Badminton, Tetbury and Cheltenham for the races, theatre and seasonal festivals to include the literature and food festival to name but a few. Take afternoon tea in Painswick with a visit to the Rococo garden. For those wishing to relax the acres of grounds make a peaceful haven.

Take in the peace and tranquillity as you wander to the original entrance of this former chapel. The main entrance gives way to the formal dining hall, with exposed stone walls, vaulted ceilings and a bespoke made wrought iron chandelier that simply finishes the room. The dining table can accommodate up to six guests and is great for entertaining. Take the stairs down to the ground floor where you will find the first snug a great place to hide with a good book or curling up on the sofa with a good movie on the TV. A larger lounge is also accessed via this small lobby with large sofas and armchairs, two wood burners set into original fireplaces are waiting to be lit and there is a TV in this room. The kitchen/breakfast room enjoys the light from the gardens and is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A small table and chairs sit to the side and is a great base for breakfast and morning coffee. There is also a separate WC on this floor. And when the time comes to say goodnight, climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find three bedrooms, a double with en-suite shower room with shower and WC, a double with great views across the gardens and a further double bedroom. There is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC on this floor.

The chapel is surrounded by mature gardens of which you are free to roam, accessed from the lower ground floor kitchen area. There is a patio area with table and chair where you can enjoy the late afternoon sunshine. There are also acres of woodland of which you are free to roam. There is ample off-road parking.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

This is an amazing property, the location is quite remote but two pubs within a 45 minute walk or 10 minute drive are both really nice. The house itself is awesome, the dining is one of the most impressive Ive ever seen! The Sonos surround sound is an added bonus that isnt in the particulars.
