This unique property comprises two separate buildings, one housing the living and sleeping accommodation and the other providing shower facilities. Glamping has never been so glamorous.

Escape to this peaceful, secluded sanctuary, it’s the perfect place to relax and return to nature. Nestled in picturesque woodland in the heart of the Exmoor countryside, this delightful shepherd’s hut boasts a beautiful bespoke living space, ideal for couples wanting to escape everyday life. The local village of Wheddon Cross is 2.5 miles away with a local shop and pub, and is most renowned for its displays of the little white flowers in February each year. Visit the medieval town of Dunster with its variety of shops, cafes and castle. Why not walk-through Snowdrop Valley up to the summit of Dunkery Beacon, where the views are far-reaching? Other points of interest include the West Somerset Steam Railway, Valley of the Rocks, and Lynton and Lynmouth with the iconic water-powered cliff railway.

Stepping inside the hut, you will be taken aback by the detail that has gone into its design. The living space incorporates a small dining table and chairs, ideal for breakfast, lunch or dinner, plus there is also a welcoming wood burner with logs provided. The kitchen area has everything you need to cook your meals including a two-ring gas hob, fridge and Belfast sink. The double bed is at the other end of the hut and perfectly situated for you to enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding woodland, while you put your feet up and relax. There is a separate hut just a couple of steps away which houses the spacious shower room with a large shower cubicle, washbasin and WC.

Outside, the hut has a decked area complete with a bistro table and chairs with views out over the woodlands and fields beyond. Then, venture down a few steps to a larger decked area with a picnic bench and fire pit with logs provided. Please note: There is ample parking but depending on the weather, you may have to park up and walk to your hut (around 5 minutes). A trolley for your luggage is provided.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Happy Hare. Alison and Bear have worked hard to create a peaceful haven. On our first morning ee spotted deer in the woods. With beautiful interior design this well equipped shepherds hut gave us an amazing experience. We had breakfast on the decking, relaxed on the garden chairs in the sun and had cosy evenings Read morein by the log burner/oven. The bathroom hut is a real gem with it's vintage decor and lovely spacious hot shower. We look forward to another visit. Hide

If you are looking for peace and quiet then this is the place to go, Absolutely perfect! Waking up and seeing the red stag walking by, herds of red deer in the fields, amazing. Happy Hare is a delight, so cosy with its log burner, fire pit, cosy throws. Second bathroom hut is fantastic, spacious and very clean. Places to visit Chargot Woods to see Read morethe pheasants and grouse, Watersmeet walks around Lynmouth are all stunning and the Valley of Rocks is incredible. We will definitely be returning! Hide

Just arrived home from 4 day break at the Happy Hare. A beautiful secluded location, which was peaceful, and with lovely views of Exmoor. The hut was well equipped, comfy and clean. The friendly owners met me on arrival to show me around. I would definately recommend and will return.

We cannot praise the Happy Hare enough, Alison And Bear have created an idyllic spot. The Shepherds Hut and facilities are to the highest standard, set within beautiful young woodland and Exmoor countryside. Peace and quiet, great location, very private. The Shepherds hut was very comfortable with everything we needed and plenty of storage. The private shower room is a great addition. We enjoyed relaxing around the fire in the evening listening out for the deer, which we saw on several occasions. The Happy Hare was beautifully set up in a private wood which meant the location was extremely quiet, with just the sounds of the countryside, far from any roads or other buildings. The accommodation was high quality with some lovely little touches which made you feel like you were in a special place. Wow, this is an absolute gem! It was perfect!! The location is so quiet and secluded. Didn't see anyone else for the whole week and that made it so relaxing. If you like to be on devices this is not the place for you. Its perfect for switching off and relaxing. You have everything you need, they have thought of it all. We had a wonderful stay at The Happy Hare and really enjoyed the property and the location. The property itself is beautiful, the interior decor is top notch and everything has been thought of - USB sockets by the bed, fire pit, rainfall shower and so forth. On our arrival we were met by The friendly hosts,and shown to our delightful home for the next 3 nights. We were immediately in awe of the scenery and the views, absolutely delightful. When we first set eyes on the shepherds hut we just new we had made a great choice,on entering you could see it is very well equipped and very comfortable.
