This chic spacious hideaway for two would make an idyllic romantic getaway, or to unwind and relax in the much-loved village of Chatburn, close to the Forest of Bowland.

This property is ideally located with public footpaths and quiet roads for cycling, this is the perfect place to rejuvenate, nestled within the village of Chatburn, at the foot of Pendle hill close to the Forest of Bowland. Surrounded by unspoilt open countryside, and is only a few miles from the market town of Clitheroe. There are also some popular spots such as the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District which are easily accessible from the property and are worth a visit. The Inn at Whitewell, Browsholme Hall, Stonyhurst college and Northcote, Michelin star restaurant, are all within easy reach. The location is truly a food lovers paradise with numerous eateries of exceptional standard within very close proximity to the property.

The property is accessed via large wooden electric gates and up a tree lined driveway within the grounds of the owners fabulous manor house and gardens. Venture through the front door and find yourself in the generous oak floored hallway with downstairs gym containing cross trainer and running machine, and next to here is a separate WC. The utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer is also located on the ground floor. The stairs lead up to the first floor to the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with oak floors and atmospheric lighting. The dining area features a large dining table with seating for everyone and the lounge area has comfortable seating and smart TV. The kitchen features electric oven and gas hob, fridge and freezer and microwave, everything required for holiday dining and to help with the cleaning after, a handy dishwasher. On the same floor is the master bedroom with sumptuous super-king-size bed, Smart TV and en-suite shower room with shower and WC.

Fantastic location and accomodation. All mod cons. The hostess has an eye for detail and a personal touch -the fridge was stocked with some basics such as sausage, egg, bacon, butter and milk as well as fresh bread. I will definately return!

A nice place to stay, plenty of amenities in the village, and a quite retreat. depending on what you wish to see depends on the amount of travailing you wish to do. you will love the extra treats you receive when you arrive, First Class. as the Host was away when we visited we were met by the daughter. so cannot comment on the host. but she did rinRead moreg us when we got home and sounded very nice. We were impressed with the accommodation, the welcome pack and location. Suzanne met us on our arrival and made us most welcome and pointed out where everything was and how things worked. Suzanne and husband Jonathon invited us for drinks on the patio as it was a lovely afternoon which we thought was nice.

Great accommodation with everything you could need or want, it was spotlessly clean and had an extremely comfortable large bed. The provision of supplies to get you started plus the bottle of prosecco was a nice touch. Hosts were great with plenty of tips for eating and visiting. Would not hesitate to visit again.

Very comfortable holiday accommodation, within striking distance of many lovely and individual villages and towns. Owner was always available to give advice without being intrusive. A range of food items were provided at the beginning of the holiday and were all much appreciated.

A perfect cottage which has been decorated and furnished with taste and style, a wonderful place for a romantic break.
