This property sits in the fells above the lakeside village of Coniston, overlooking Coniston Water. The village is a popular destination for tourists to the area, as it not only offers a good range of shops and pubs, but is also home to a well-equipped boating centre from where visitors can hire a range of craft to take out onto the lake. On the edge of the village, the Old Man of Coniston looks down on the lake and is the perfect place for keen walkers of all abilities, as there are several different trails of varying challenge, all of which enjoy the same spectacular far-reaching views from the summit. For those looking for even more adventure, there are a number of activity centres in the local area which can take keen visitors out to have a try at gorge walking, ghyll scrambling, and abseiling.

The front door of this property opens onto the kitchen/diner, a welcoming room with a dining table and all the equipment that guests will need to make themselves at home during their stay, including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and washer-dryer. Cottage is gorgeous, very quaint. Absolutely stunning views and fantastic location. Right at the foot of Old man of Coniston. Perfect for walking straight from your door. We ditched our car and just walked to the lake, boat club, pubs, fells and tarns. The owners have made the property very homely. No shortage of hot water. The kitchen is very wellRead more equipped.. Needs better pillows, bit more though clean and minor maintenance but not a disaster. We would definitely hire this property again. Hide

Traditional terraced cottage with great views from the living room, front bedroom and amazing attic bedroom. The latter is dual aspect with huge velux windows. This is a fantastic place for a holiday. The cottage is cosy and comfortable and has stunning views from the living room and bedrooms. The drive up to the cottage is steep, but with excellent walking from the doorstep we didn't take the car out all week.
