Located on a private estate, this fully renovated semi-detached cottage, which surrounded by rolling Rutland countryside, is a haven for peace and tranquillity and is furnished to a lovely standard.

The private estate is set in 1200 acres of glorious rolling countryside, situating in the Hamlet of Gunthorpe, next to Rutland Water. There are many activities that can be enjoyed at Rutland Water, including sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, boat trips, crazy golf, fishing, rock climbing, high ropes, abseiling, cycling, hot air ballooning or just walking. If you want to discover more of the area, the market towns of Oakham, Uppingham, Stamford and Melton Mowbray are all close by. A little further afield are the larger towns and cities of Leicester, Peterborough and Market Harborough. Oakham Castle, a fine example of 12th century architecture, Burghley House, one of England’s greatest Elizabethan houses, and Rockingham Castle, a remarkable castle built on the instruction of William the Conqueror are all nearby.

Stepping into this semi-detached cottage style property, the luxurious ambience welcomes you with open arms. Head into the spacious and fully equipped kitchen/diner which is decorated in serene tones and provides everything you need for a relaxing stay such as, an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The stylish scandi dining table sits next to patio doors with lovely views for you to take in whilst enjoying your meal. Next, there is a utility area offering a washer/dryer should you need it. The lounge is the ultimate spot for relaxing, sink into the sumptuous corner sofa in front of the roaring wood burner and pop something good on the TV. Upstairs on the first floor you will find a double bedroom with en-suite shower room with double shower and WC and a twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with roll top bath, separate shower and WC.

This is a wonderful cottage in a spectacular location. It has a wonderful view and you could spend your whole holiday just in the garden and grounds. But with all the attractions of Rutland water, Burleigh and Stamford not to mention the restaurant at Hambleton Hall you'll need an extra week to do it all.
