Exceptionally based in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, giving you great access to historical sites and miles of footpaths and cycling routes. Great destination for small families and couples.

Surrounded by countryside, this cottage enjoys a peaceful location and is close to many enjoyable walks and cycle routes. The Wolds scenery is breathtaking with rolling chalk hills and valleys situated south of the North Yorkshire Moors, a spot perfect for picnics and a favourite with the artist David Hockney. There are many other activities going on in the area, including horse riding, guided walks, plus farmers’ markets, country fairs, and many other festive events. Head towards the thriving coastline, and spend your afternoons on the lovely sandy beaches, where you can have a relaxing afternoon sunbathing, swimming or playing a variety of beach games. Venture slightly further afield and you can discover Beverley Minster and the historic city of York.

Park on the driveway and make your way into the cottage, welcoming you with a small entrance vestibule to hang your coats and leave shoes behind. The cottage is wonderfully warm and cosy with a lovely warming interior. Step into the lounge, furnished with two large sofas, ideal to sit back and relax whilst watching a film on the TV after a long day exploring the Yorkshire Wolds. The spacious kitchen connects to the lounge, with a dining table so you can gather around at mealtimes. Prepare a homecooked meal with ease on the electric hob/oven, with further appliances including a fridge/freezer, dishwasher machine and microwave. The ground floor also benefits from a useful under-stair utility room , which houses the washing machine. When it’s time to retire, pick from a twin room with its private en-suite shower room with shower and WC, or the king-size bedroom with fabulous view of the open countryside and also with an en-suite shower over the bath and WC.

There is a small garden to the front of the property, which is a lovely spot to enjoy the views whilst sipping a refreshing drink, watching the sun come up over the fields.

What a wonderful week we had. Perfectly located to visit the beaches and attractions of the East Coast of Yorkshire. A gorgeous little retreat to unwind and recharge. Our dogs enjoyed it as much as we did as they were allowed complete access inside and out. We'll definitely be back

Rockery cottage was spotlessly clean throughout, very well equipped we had a lovely stay thank you! ..however the garden to the side of the property felt awkward to use for our dog as it was under next doors front room window, the property also has no back garden.

Spotlessly clean, comfortable and peaceful. Loved watching the sun rise from our bedroom window and hearing the owl call at night. A great location for exploring East and North Yorkshire.

We were very impressed with everything about the cottage and am sure anyone else would be. It accommodates 4 and there were only 2 of us, but the space was more than ample for 4.

Great location as a base for a holiday exploring the Wold, the Moors and the beautiful Yorkshire Coast. Comfortable & clean. Small details thought about - kitchen very well equipt, excellent to have two ensuites. Def recommend it as a well-appointed base to come home to after days out exploring. Worked for our two whippets too - though we wouldn't Read morelet them out on their own off lead in the garden as by a road, not busy but unpredictable in terms of traffic. Absolutely excellent so comfy and cosy and if you need a peaceful holiday this is where to stay, the only thing is you need to travel by car 15-20 mins to go to beaches and shops which wasn't a problem for us. Thank you for making our holiday restful
