This homely yet stylish farmhouse is located in the beautiful West Yorkshire countryside. Tucked away in the small village of Greetland on the outskirts of the Sowerby Bridge, this is the perfect base for families and friends looking for a countryside retreat with a range of local pubs all within a mile. Explore the 50 miles of moors and valleys along the stunning Calderdale Way. Set within the Peak District National Park and surrounded by traditional Yorkshire market towns, there is plenty to see and do. The historic mill and minster town of Halifax is 3 miles away, home to the celebrated Piece Hall, as well as Shibden Hall where Gentleman Jack was filmed. Walk the cobbled streets and explore the restaurants, bars and shops.

Walk through into the spacious entrance hall where you will find a utility room that is perfect for muddy boots, the downstairs WC, and the large cinema room so you can kick back with snacks and popcorn and watch your favourite film on a rainy day. Through into the contemporary but country-style kitchen fitted with an AGA and everything else you might need. The vast island is ideal for preparing a family Sunday roast which you can enjoy eating together around the table under the chandelier in the dining room. Play board games or video games on the Smart TV/DVD and PS4 in the first lounge with its gorgeous vaulted ceilings and untouched countryside views, or cosy up in front of the wood burner in the snug/second lounge with its deep cushioned sofas and Smart TV. Head up the stairs to find the family bathroom where you can soak in a bath full of bubbles after a busy day exploring the area. There are three bedrooms, a king-size with an en-suite shower room, and two doubles, one of which also has an en-suite shower room. All these rooms are tastefully decorated with ample storage and have lovely views.

To the front of the house is the large, gated courtyard. Access to the back garden can be gained through the living area and onto the large patio area. Here, you can enjoy al fresco drinks around the dining table or unwind in the wood-fired hot tub. At the top of the garden is the children's play area with swings and slides. The garden is enclosed and boasts glorious views.

Very comfortable accommodation Lots of space inside and out although the awful weather prevented us from utilising the latter. House was warm and well equipped. Beds and showers all excellent. Ideal venue for Christmas. Highly recommended

This was a beautiful property - really clean, comfortable and well maintained. We had an amazing time there and will definitely book again if we're looking for somewhere in the area.

Absolutely beautiful house. The was so much space. The garden is amazing and the eldest was over the moon with the ps3 in the conservatory. We all had a lovely family holiday with so much fun, the board games and the family quizes made it so nice for family time. The house was so fully equipped with everything we needed and more. A great place to stay with lots of space inside and out. Comfortable rooms, great kitchen and a large garden for play. Excellent, stay hole cottage, newly renovated of extreme high standard, great it has a movie room where the kids can keep themselves entertained. The hot tub is brilliant, heats up ever so quick. Theres a dead comfy bonus at the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in each bathroom, beautiful location. We loved staying at Prospect House for the week. Such a great property and very high standard of fixtures & decoration. Great location for walks around Greetland, Norland and Ripponden with a couple pubs within easy walking distance that both serve decent quality pub food.

Our stay in Prospect House was most enjoyable - it was a perfect venue, quiet with lots of space. It was very comfortable, warm and stress free. The hot tub was amazing and really enjoyable. Our hosts Sam and Claire were extremely helpful, answering minor queries promptly and efficiently. We hope to return.
