The picturesque village of Blockley nestled into a charming valley remains unspoiled, it’s clever mix of stone cottages, surrounding countryside and meandering mill stream all creating the perfect backdrop for a stay in the Cotswolds. This vibrant village with traditional inns and village store, offers easy access further into the Cotswolds with many places of interest to explore including Stow-on-the-Wold, Lower Slaughter, Broadway, Chipping Campden, Bourton on the Water and Burford. Further afield is the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s birth place and Cheltenham, home to the literature and food festival. More local attractions include Chastleton House and Gardens, The Cotswold Farm Park, Birdland, Hidcote Manor, Daylesford organic farm shop and Chedworth Roman Villas. Take in the views across the village green before you follow the pathway up to the traditional front door with wooden framed porch filled with logs.

Take off your boots and step inside where the rustic charm will simply take your breath away, the exposed stone walls and original beams blend beautifully with a clever mix of contemporary colours. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is simply perfect for couples, the cosy seating area set in front of the wood burner, warm and inviting for an evening in, watching the Smart TV. The kitchen is hand crafted and is equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a dining area with a table for two. When the day is done, climb the wooden stairs and you find a king-size bedroom with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. There is also a shower room with WC on this floor.

Step outside and enjoy your morning coffee with bird song. The small courtyard to the front of the cottage enjoys the sun and has a small table and chairs. There is roadside parking (subject to availability).

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely cottage in a nice location. Sue was very helpful and communication was very easy. Parking can be difficult near the cottage but not impossible. All in all a good stay and would happily stay there again.

Superb cottage extremely well equipped. Blockley is a lovely village with a couple of good public houses and a village shop and caf which does superb food.

Such a beautiful cottage that has been renovated to a fantastic standard. We loved our short break to Blockley. Loved the Cafe thats a 2 minute walk away, definitely worth a visit, we had a breakfast there which was fabulous.

This is a lovely cottage. Very tastefully designed and comfortable. Perfect for a short getaway for two. Its tucked away in a quiet spot but village amenities are just a few minutes walk away.

Wonderful cottage in a great location. The village is really lovely, pretty and quiet with a good shop and coffee shop. Bed and shower really great, just what you need on holiday. Lots of footpaths to follow from the door for dog walking. We loved it and had a really nice holiday.

We stayed at number 1 for 4 nights for our mini moon The property is stunning! Beautifully decorated with some gorgeous little touches! We were really at home there. The location was great and very central to lots of places we wanted to visit. Cant recommend number 1 enough and definitely want to go back!
