This property is located just a short walk from the north-east shore of Coniston Water in the picturesque Lake District. It offers the perfect base for exploring the area, and is great for those who want to enjoy scenic walks as well as boat trips and watersports on the lake. Lying on the opposite side of the lake to Coniston village, it is nevertheless only 1.5 miles from the village centre, where visitors will find several shops and a choice of pubs, as well as Coniston Boating Centre from where a range of craft can be hired including motor boats, sailing boats, canoes, and paddleboards. Just next to the boating centre is the departure point for the lovingly restored Victorian steamers which take visitors on leisurely cruises around the lake.

On arrival at this semi-detached barn conversion property, the first room that guests come to is an elegant dining room with a large dining table and attractive dresser with beautiful views to the lake. From here, stairs lead down to the lounge, which has been thoughtfully furnished with a wood burner, comfortable seating, coffee table and Smart TV. Returning back up the steps, guests will find a door off the dining room which leads through to the  kitchen where there is all that guests will need including an oven, hob, microwave, American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher and Nespresso pod coffee manchine. The washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in a separate laundry room downstairs. The master king-sized double bedroom is located off the dining room, a wonderfully spacious room with large built-in wardrobes and views over the lake, there is an en-suite bathroom with a bath, separate shower, and WC. The remaining four bedrooms are situated on the lower-ground floor, the first of which is another super king-sized double, whilst there is also a twin room with large single beds and two more single rooms. There is a bathroom on the same floor as these bedrooms, which offers a bath, separate shower, and WC. In addition to this there are also two separate WCs, one on this floor and one on the upper floor off the dining room.

Across the driveway from the cottage, is a games room which has a pool table as well as a lovely seating area, great for playing board games and a small kitchenette with fridge. Doors from the games room open out onto the property’s attractive terrace for which there is garden furniture provided, making it a fantastic place to enjoy the beautiful view to Coniston Water. Great location, spacious and well appointed property. However, some furniture in need of replacement/renovation and a generally deeper clean required.

Lovely property in good location. Amazing master bedroom! Garden space mostly on a slope. Plenty of room for running around, but not so good for ball games.

What a fantastic place to stay. The property itself-superb. The views-fantastic. The location-perfect. This was everything we wanted and more from our choice of holiday home, we had a mixed party of adults/children/couples/singles and the property was able to accommodate all of us. The property is well equipped with any utensils you might need for Read morea self catering dinner in, or the village of Coniston with many dinner choices is just a short walk away. Would definitely look to stay here again. Hide
