Stunning property sleeping up to ten guests enjoying a peaceful rural location in the south lakes, two miles outside the picturesque market town of Ulverston.

This property is situated in a quiet location in the Cumbrian countryside, surrounded by beautiful scenery which makes it perfect for those who like nothing more than enjoying relaxing walks. Cycle routes pass the front of the property. The edge of the Lake District National Park lies just three miles north of the cottage, with the nearest lake being Windermere nine miles away. On the southern tip of the lake, Lakeside Pier is the departure point for a range of cruises and ferries including those to Fell Foot, Bowness, and Waterhead. Two miles south of the property, the market town of Ulverston is a vibrant place offering a good range of shops and pubs, as well as being the birth place of Stan Laurel and home to the Laurel and Hardy Museum. The Cartmel Races is a fabulous day out with 9 race days from May to August.

Upon entering this beautiful cottage, guests come directly to a mid-level snug room, a welcoming and cosy space which has a warming woodburner, and a Smart TV surrounded by comfortable sofas and armchairs. Stairs leading from the snug room bring guests down to the stunning kitchen/diner which not only has a large dining table, but is also well-equipped with a Range oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer, as well as some thoughtful extras including a slow cooker, nespresso machince, nutribullet and sandwich maker. The first of the property’s five bedrooms is situated just off the kitchen, a delightful twin room which can be made up as a super-king on request at the time of booking.  Back up to the snug, the stairs from here lead up to the second lounge, an elegant dual-aspect room from which doors open onto the wooden balcony. A second twin can be found off the lounge, whilst the remaining three bedrooms are on the upper-levels of the house. The first of these sits at the top of a cast iron spiral staircase where there is also a bathroom with a bath, separate shower, and WC. The remaining two bedrooms are on the top floor of the house, 1 double and 1 king size are also accessed via a spiral staircase, the king-sized also bedroom benefits from an en-suite shower room with shower and WC. Finally, another bathroom can be found a few steps down from the snug room, a stylish room with a contemporary feel, offering a free-standing double ended bath, a walk in shower and twin wash basins.

Outside, the property enjoys a thoughtfully designed landscaped garden with a spacious terrace which, with its garden furniture is a great space to enjoy al fresco dining. Overlooking the garden, there is a wooden balcony which provides guests with a lovely spot to relax with a sundowner in the evenings. There is off-road parking available for five cars.

Please note there is a refundable £300 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

You're only 9 miles from the south end of Lake Windermere, where you can take a cruise or hire a rowing boat or kayak to explore the sights at your own pace and halfway up the lake is the charming town of Bowness-on-Windermere (16 miles). If you'd prefer to stay on dry land, Grizedale Forest (12 miles) offers walking and cycling trails and a range of other activities. Another picturesque village and lake is Coniston/Coniston Water, which has a few pubs to choose from and is a firm favourite with walkers and climbers who want to take on the hill called ‘The Old Man of Coniston'.
