The Victorian spa town of Harrogate is close by with gardens to walk and admire, independent shops, pubs, restaurants and spa treatments. Slightly further afield is the ancient city of York with lots to entertain all including museums, theatres, historic buildings, art galleries, National Railway Museum, independent shops, pubs and eateries.
