A well-presented and contemporary first floor property set in the centre of Portinscale, with local amenities on your doorstep. A great retreat for couples or family looking to explore the Lakes.

The stylish and contemporary interior of this house as well as its location make it a great place for a family or friends to stay. There are local amenities on your doorstep and the footpath into Keswick is just a few hundred meters from the house. Within the village you will find some nice places to eat and enjoy a drink. The nearby market town of Keswick has lots of nice independent shops and events. If you are looking for a more unusual activity why not try walking an Alpaca! There are some lovely walks around Lingholm walled garden or for the more adventurous walkers why not venture up Skiddaw. Use the launch which is a short walk away to get around the local area and take in the spectacular views around the Lake.

Walking into the property you will enter the hallway, up the stairs you will find the lounge which is a bright sociable space with comfortable seating, Smart TV, Blu-Ray DVD and wireless speakers. From this room you can see Derwentwater. The kitchen is off the lounge and has a dining area, electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, wine cooler, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. There is a bright and spacious king-size bedroom off the lounge, with wall mounted Smart TV, this bedroom offers a lovely, relaxed feel to unwind after a day out exploring. Head upstairs from the lounge to find a further 2 bedrooms both are doubles and have wall mounted Smart TV’s and there are two bathrooms on this level. One of the bathrooms has a bath, separate shower and WC and there is a shower room with shower and WC.

There is a private parking space at the entrance to the house for one car. There is additional street parking close to the property for any additional cars.

A beautiful house in a stunning location. Close enough to amenities and very accessible to visit practically all of the lakes in this beautiful area. Very nicely decorated by an interior designer and the kitchen had everything you would need. We all enjoyed our stay here and its definitely enough room for the 5 of us but it would be still fine for Read morea family of six. We will be back! Hide

What a wonderful cottage, fully equipped with everything we could need. It was immaculately clean, with plenty of space for the four of us. The beds were really comfortable, blackout blinds in master bedroom to make it even nicer to sleep. It was lovely and quiet, with surrounding beautiful views of the lakes and mountains. Weve been coming to the Lake District on holiday for over 30 years, sometimes several times a year. I will never look for another holiday cottage because nothing could be better than Farrier House. Its beautifully decorated, gloriously comfortable and has the most generously equipped kitchen Ive ever seen. Farrier House is by far the cleanest and highest specification property the we have stayed in to date. It has almost everything you could wish for, and is in the fantastic location of Portinscale. Caretaker support was excellent with a minor issue that we had, and overall we had a fantastic holiday. Views from the lounge were stunning and property Read morewas extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend Farrier House - it's a real home from home. Very well equipped and furnished to a high standard with quality furnishings - one of the best places we have stayed in. Excellent location in the centre of the village and a pleasant walk into Keswick. Views from every window are amazing. Allocated parking space is a bit awkward anRead mored only really suitable for a small car - we didn't have any problems parking the 2nd car on the road. Would love to return - didnt want to leave! This accommodation was FANTASTIC! The panoramic hill and lake views were idyllic, the space was decorated and maintained to the highest of quality and the kitchen was the most equipped weve ever stayed in! The hosts thought of EVERYTHING! Recycling facilities & COVID measures were great too! Location is excellent for a gentle stay in the small townRead more and a scenic walk away from Keswick.
