Visit the RSPB Reserve for fishing and wildlife watching or have an adventure at Zip World and Surf Snowdonia. Taste the culinary delights in pubs, restaurants and cafes, enjoy the wide range of shops and attractions such as National Trust’s Bodnant Gardens, the Welsh Food Centre, the Welsh Mountain Zoo, the Elizabethan town house and the Smallest House in Britain. Approached down the private drive, this detached attractive 16th century farmhouse is full of exposed original oak beams, huge inglenook fireplaces, antique welsh furniture and all the thoughtful little luxuries to enhance your stay. Walk into the lounge/diner with stunning huge fireplace, wood burner, large comfy sofas and interesting artwork to enjoy. The dining table is perfectly positioned next to the steps to the kitchen to enjoy family meals together whilst embracing the ambience of the house. Walk through to the stylish kitchen complementing the period charm of the house. The spacious kitchen has all you need to prepare a delicious meal with the Range electric oven and hob, microwave, Smeg fridge/freezer and the dishwasher and a 18th century dairy table as an island. Walk back through to the utility room with Belfast sink and washing machine/dryer and access to the garden. Around the corner is the creatively designed shower room with walk in shower and WC, just perfect for a leisurely start to the day. After dinner relax in the lounge by the glow of the fire or go through to the cosy snug with sofa and armchairs, feature fireplace, wood burner and Smart TV for a relaxing movie night. As you head up the staircase, there are three beautiful bedrooms with exposed beams to choose from: one with the super-king-size bed with a beautiful 400 year old oak floor, the stylish contemporary double with stable door to the garden or the lovely twin. All three have gorgeous bed linen and soft towels. Lastly, on this floor you will find the delightful bathroom with bath and WC, run the bath, lie back, relax and enjoy the countryside views.

The house sits in the centre of the large garden with hot tub, patio, attractive stone walls, established borders and lawn. The paved patio and pergola have a slate table, chairs and charcoal BBQ, just perfect for alfresco dining, relaxing and embracing the wonderful surroundings and views. The hot tub nestles in the old pig house which offers a delightful shelter as you embrace the magical views. Ample parking in the garden. Lockable bike rack in the old pig house.

We LOVED our stay! It is the best cottage that we have stayed in. It is finished to a high standard and we had everything we needed. Driving up to the house at the end of a long day of walking and exploring was just perfect. The log burners and hot tub are those extra touches which were perfect. Absolutely stunning farmhouse with amazing views. Everything was spotless and well presented, we felt right at home straight away. Great location and the owners were very helpful during our stay. We loved it all so much that we booked again for next year as soon as we got home!! Cant wait to go back, we miss the fields of sheep already.

Dolmarchog Farmhouse was the perfect retreat for our extended family, being beautifully located, very comfortably furnished and well equipped. The beds were exceptionally conducive to a good night's sleep. (The 'Emma' mattress in the master bedroom was soooo comfortable!) Absolutely marvellous property with lots thoughtful details that make for a relaxing stay. I took my 3 year old who had the time of her life playing in the garden surrounded by fields and sheep. Would definitely rebook! We had the most amazing week at the farmhouse, the house itself has everything you need, the kids loved the hot tub and swing, its rural but close to lots of activities. We where blessed with lovely weather so nice to use the outside dinning area and the beaches are some of the best weve been too ( aberffraw & newbourough ,Read more well worth the drive) , zip world is just down the road and Wooseys chip shop was amazing again only 5 min drive. Beautifully presented, comfortable and stunning. Looking up into the foothills of Snowdonia while in the hot tub was a delight, and so close to wonderful beaches, walks and castles.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. The view from the hot tub is fantastic. The drive from the road to the cottage, through the field and sheep, takes you back in time. All our needs were catered for. Ideal place to tour the Conwy area and Snowdonia.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage in the beautiful Conwy Valley. We wouldn't choose a different location in Northern Wales to stay. Lush and surrounded by fields of sheep and wildlife, this cottage provides all the character features of a historic cottage, with all of the modern amenities you could ask for. We had the most amazing time! The house was so wonderfully decorated, spacious, clean, super comfortable, with such a personal touch. The owner was such a lovely lady, and gave us lots of personal tips of places to visit, and of local shops with great Welsh produce. Amazing hot tub views, perfect after a day of climbing Snowdon! LOVED this cottage - very high standard throughout, the owners have thought of everything. The setting is beautiful, remote yet lots to do nearby. And the lambs were just adorable. Will definitely come back.
