We visited in November 2021 for 7 nights and had a wonderful time. The lodge is a perfect base to explore North Devon from and thats exactly what we did. All tHe equipment was first class, spotlessly clean and a lovely welcoming feel to the place. For us the hot tub was a massive plus, perfect on a chilly evening after a days walking. We would defiRead morenitely book the lodge again if we were visiting the area. Hide

Lovely lodge in beautiful and peaceful location. Ideal for recharging your batteries. Decor and facilities felt luxurious, with the hot tub, the roll top bath and Smeg appliances. The hosts Nick and Jen were friendly and helpful, welcoming us when we arrived, and offering advice about places to go and places to eat.

Beautiful setting but beware no local amenities except a pub which do lovely meals, beware closed Mon and Tues and you need to book early if table needed on special offer nights Wednesday and Thursday. Very steep hill up and down to the village!

The lodge is beautiful and quirky .. visited lots of places , instow was a gorgeous little place and dogs allowed on beach . The only thing I would say is that it wasn't clear that there was no access to any of the gardens until got there, and with 2 dogs was a struggle . Perfect for a couple to get away minus the dogs though !
