A characterful living room welcomes you and provides a beautiful setting for relaxing during your holiday. This country-style cottage is light and bright and there’s a warming wood burner in the living room perfect for evenings snuggled up together after exploration of the Dales. In the corner of the room is a snug table for two, the perfect setting for morning coffee looking out at the village beyond. A pretty kitchen is set down here with a view into the garden and upstairs you’ll find the welcoming double bed and bathroom with a shower over a bath, ideal for sinking into of an evening.

Surrounded by the countryside of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, this property allows plenty of opportunity for sitting outside and gazing across the landscape. The table and chairs allow you to dine in the sunshine or beneath the stars in the charming patio garden, and there’s a selection of scenic walks from your door, through town and out into the fantastic countryside.

Lovely cottage, absolutely stunning location. Wonderful walks and views all around. Lovely touches from the owners upon arrival. A basket with a bottle of wine, some scrummy biscuits, a bottle of pale ale, a box of tea bags some milk and even a packet of treats for our pooch Jasper. Very much appreciated, thank you! Very comfortable cottage with everything you need . Comfy bed and sofa. Spotlessly clean. In great location with walks straight from the cottage. The fire was an extra bonus on our one cool evening. Dog also enjoyed her stay especially the delicious treats left by our hosts.

Lovely cosy cottage in an idyllic setting. Neighbours very friendly. Lovely area and plenty to see. Great for the dogs down by the river. We had a very nice week and would reccomend it to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay at Buttercup Cottage. It is a lovely cottage in a peaceful setting. Everything is provided and the cottage was lovely and clean. There are plenty of places to see in the area or a bit further afield all reached by travelling through beautiful countryside.

Great location for exploring the western Dales and south east lakes. Lovely quiet village, short walk into Sedbergh (take a torch) and the cottage is as pretty and comfortable as it looks

Absolutely stunning cottage for myself, my partner and two dogs. Fully equipped, only a short walk from the town of Sedbergh and plenty of dog walks from the door step. Highly recommend :-) Really lovely owners, definitely want to stay there again.

A fantastic little cottage in a quiet area, friendly neighbours, great walks available straight from the front door. Every tiny detail has been considered by the owner; you don't need to take any utensils, cutlery, plates, towels, etc. Will definitely recommend this to friends/family and hope to return soon.

Our stay at Buttercup Cottage was fantastic. The cottage is perfectly located for numerous walks around the amazing Yorkshire countryside and only half a mile from Sedbergh centre. The property is very well equipped, spotlessly clean and comfortable and is definitely on our 'must visit again' list.

We had a lovely break at the cottage, we have two small dogs and the cottage was perfect for walks which were right on the doorstep, the cottage was beautifully clean and cosy and we would definitely go back again. The welcome basket was also a nice surprise.
