Bring your walking boots and explore the abundance of footpaths and cycle paths on your doorstep. The local village offers country pubs so you can enjoy a rest from cooking dinner. Also, worth visiting is the nearby market town of Bakewell, a great spot for meandering through the various cafes and shops. The historical spa town of Buxton has an opera house and theatre for those guests looking for a bit of culture. Within easy reach of some spectacular walking routes through the surrounding countryside including the Derwent Reservoir and rock-climbing spots, including Curbar Edge and Stanage Edge. Also worth a visit, is close by Haddon Hall, and a little further is the spectacular Hardwick House.

There are two lounges which are perfect for relaxing with after dinner drinks and have a warm and inviting style with plenty of comfort, light the open fire or wood burner, and in one of the lounges you can put your feet up by the TV. The ground floor bedroom offers a double bed and en-suite shower room and WC.
