A lovely stone-built cottage set on the owners farm in the pretty village of Crich, it is perfect for groups of friends, couples or families looking to enjoy the outdoors and explore this beautiful part of Derbyshire.

The town of Crich is nestled between the city of Nottingham and the picturesque Derbyshire Dales. It offers visitors doorstep walks and cycle trails in abaundance, head into Crich to enjoy the pubs and shops or take a ride at the National Tramway Museum. Tempting though it might be to spend your whole break here soaking it all in, there’s a huge choice of things to do to suit all ages and tastes; Cromford, Matlock and Matlock Bath are also very close by. With attractions such as Gulliver’s Kingdom and the Heights of Abraham for the more adventurous and for a more relaxing time, just a little further away is the lovely town of Bakewell and the stunning Chatsworth House. This is the perfect base for every age, with every taste, every day of the year.

A luxurious stone barn conversion in an elevated position with stunning views looking out to Crich Stand, on the owner's working livestock farm, where your privacy is assured. Step into the impressive kitchen and you immediately get a fantastic view across the valley, it has everything you need for a breakfast or evening meal including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Step up into the lounge and dining area, this contemporary retreat has been ideally designed for a friends and family gathering to this wonderful location. After an action-packed day, be welcomed by the stylish interior which houses everything you will need for a break with loved ones. Curl up on the comfy sofas which rests in front of a warming wood burner and watch a movie on the Smart TV. Gather around the large dining table with your group and plan the next days adventure. There is a very handy separate WC completing the ground floor. As the evening draws to a close, look forward to retiring to one of the three well-presented bedrooms situated across two floors. On the first floor you will find a twin bedroom with bespoke handmade bed-frames, making this ideal for family with younger guests and there is an impressive super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made into a twin on request). Next to this is the bathroom which features a shower over bath and WC. On the second floor you have the final king-size bedroom which has gorgeous views over the valley and a private en-suite shower and WC.

Outside there is an enclosed lawned area, patio with dining table and hot tub. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings on warm balmy evenings well into the night, with uninterrupted views of the surrounding pastures and down into the valley as far as the eye can see. There is private parking for three cars.

Bilberry Barn lived up to expectations, the 4 adults and 2 children thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The location is very for visiting all the local attractions and there are lots of lovely walks. The hot tub was a wonderful feature.

The owner was great, prior to arrival & during our stay. The property is well equipt & comfortable, it is a short walk to the village, involving a country road with no pavement, then a public footpath. There are 4 dogs off lead on the land, 3 are the owners 1 their neighbours. We had a really lovely weekend, the house was warm and cosy and the hot tub was a great addition! We loved being so close to nature surrounded by the cows. Mark was incredibly helpful and responsive over the weekend. Fantastic location and great walks all around!

We endorse the comments previously expressed as regards the cottage and its location.Fantastic.Great size and accommodation for a party of six. The only downsides for us was that as stated,it is a working farm, with the cows being milked at 7am right next to the actual cottage. So if you want a lie in,which wed hoped for, its not ideal as the machiRead morenery is loud. We stayed here for a short weekend away and it was so much more than we expected. The cottage is brilliant and has everything we needed. There was 6 of us, a baby and a dog and it was so easy! Great stay and so convenient having the owner on site.

We were surrounded by cows, chickens, ducks and im sure I saw a goat or two. The house was nice and cosy and with plenty of space for everyone to socialise. We had an excellent stay at Bilberry barn with family for a week. Beautiful scenery and a short walk into the lovely Crich with a great pub and little shop, Indian and fish and chip shop. It is a working cows farm but we enjoyed seeing the cows and the pet dogs roaming around and didnt disturb us The hot tub was a nice treat and the rooms spacious Read moreand really comfortable beds. Great cottage in a beautiful locationCrich is a lovely friendly village with lovely pub, chip shop, bakers & convenience store. And butchers which didnt use. Owners of cottage couldnt have been friendlierfresh eggs from farm on request. Our grandchildren loved to see the cows walking past to be milked. Bilberry Farm is a beautiful cottage. It was quite well equipped, the owners are lovely and friendly. The kitchen was a reasonable size to work in and had a large fridge which was useful. The rooms are all spacious and we enjoyed using the hot tub. Its in a really good place for exploring the local area. We loved the wood burner in the evenings.
