A tastefully furnished split-level apartment nestling in the heart of Ripon, the perfect base from which to explore Yorkshire’s fine countryside and market towns for a family or two couples.

This property boasts a convenient position in the centre of the city of Ripon. This location has a great deal to offer visitors: the Cathedral with its 7th-century crypt, the Yorkshire Law & Order Museums, various craft markets, an International Music Festival, and Ripon Races - not to mention the many beautiful riverside and canal walks. Walk along the riverbank and visit Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Gardens. The historic houses of Norton Conyers, Newby Hall & Gardens and Grantley Hall are also close by. A 12-mile drive away is the town of Harrogate, which offers antique shops, Turkish Baths, and a plethora of eateries. Further afield is the city of York (25 miles) with a host of attractions.

A communal hallway and stairs lead to the first floor of this converted chapel and to the front door of this stylish duplex apartment. Once inside, guests pass through a hallway with doors leading off to the second bedroom, bathroom, and utility cupboard where the washer/dryer is kept. Another door opens to the enclosed spiral staircase to the first-floor master bedroom & en-suite. Head through to the stylish and social open-plan living area where the large arched windows draw plenty of natural light into the room, while the vibrant colourful furnishings and artwork create an uplifting and relaxing environment. You can return from a rejuvenating day of walking over the Yorkshire Dales to the inviting lounge, where you can sink into the deep sofas and relax the night away watching a movie on the Smart TV with Sky TV. Rustle up a home-cooked meal in the contemporary-style kitchen equipped with top-of-the-range appliances including electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. When dinner is ready, get everyone together around the dining table to catch up on your day. On this floor is a bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Once you have made the most of the evening, head off to bed in one of the two bedrooms: a double bedroom with plenty of storage or the master bedroom upstairs which is accessed via the open-tread spiral staircase which leads to the super-king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made into a twin on request). Here you’ll find a pitched ceiling, with two VELUX roof windows and a higher porthole window providing lots of natural light. Here one of you can relax in one of the comfortable armchairs in the seating area whilst the other uses the spacious private en-suite shower room with a double shower and WC.

Outside is a shared garden space where you can enjoy your morning coffee before heading off for your adventures in the Yorkshire Dales. One allocated numbered parking space is provided, with an additional guest parking area.

This apartment is really well equipped and comfortable. Everything works and its really quiet. Ideally located right in the centre of Ripon, so if you want to leave the car behind, just jump on a bus. The owner is really helpful and friendly and answers queries promptly. Will definitely recommend this five star accommodation.

We booked last minute and were very pleasantly surprised at how lucky we were to have found such a gem. Great location for walking into town, clean, comfortable and colourful. We had a fantastic short break and were kept up to date with our booking by text from the property owner. We'd definitely recommend this apartment.

No. 9 is a lovely spotlessly clean, comfy, colourful apartment - especially if you like David Hockney art work - we loved it. However a warning to anyone who is unfit - there are 4 steps to the front door and 30 to the apartment plus another 14 to the Master bedroom via an elegant and safe spiral staircase. Also the sofas are low for anyone who hasRead more difficulty getting down and up. Great location for shops and Cathedral, and plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. Hide

We were absolutely blown away by this accommodation. It was beautifully presented, there was everything you needed, including sharp knives in the kitchen which in most rental properties are completely blunt. And when we accideRead morentally broke one of their champagne flutes and offered to replace it they did this themselves and wouldnt take a penny. We will definitely go back! Hide

Loved No9. The vibrant colours of the furnishings, the David Hockney canvases and the convenience of the location. Every thing you could wish for was there to help your holiday be amazing. Even different tog duvets. The Booths voucher was a great idea, Booths is a great supermarket, like Waitrose. Very convenient being just around the corner.
