A truly  idyllic rural retreat, situated on the owner's working farm and surrounded by picturesque countryside walks. Just 4 miles away is Exeter's stunning cathedral and university as well as shops, restaurants and bars. Head towards the south coast and visit some beautiful beaches including Dawlish Warren (14 miles), Teignmouth (16 miles) and Budleigh Salterton (19 miles). Explore the picturesque Dartmoor National Park (9 miles), or head to Powderham Castle (11.5 miles) which offers a great day out alongside National Trust properties, Castle Drogo  (11 miles) and Killerton House (11 miles). Chagford (15 miles) is nearby and boasts wonderful pubs, bespoke shops and an outdoor pool. Fingle Bridge (10 miles) offers riverside valley walks and fishing.

Upon entering this beautifully converted barn, you will be struck by the charm of its original features. To your right is a useful boot room for hanging your coat and kicking off your muddy boots. There is a double sink adjacent, and a shower room  positioned in the corner. The spacious kitchen is down the hall and fully equipped with everything you'll need for your stay including underfloor heating throughout. The open- plan design welcomes you into the lounge/diner and boasts beautiful beams, a large double-sided wood burner, TV , and a dining space.  The spacious super king-size bedroom is situated at the end of the barn and provides a calming space to relax and unwind while enjoying the glow of  the double-sided wood burner.

Outside there is a pretty communal courtyard space to the front of the property with a dining table and chairs and a BBQ for those long summer evenings .

The Bothy is a lovely converted farm building, with lots of space and all necessary equipment. It is beautifully furnished and laid out. Underfloor heating keeps it cosy and warm. The wi-fi worked well. The owners were friendly and helpful and supplied a welcome tray of goodies - wine and nibbles. A delightful place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed oRead moreur five nights here. We had a wonderful weeks stay at The Bothy in Holcombe Burnell, it was very comfortable and warm. The hosts were great and we didnt want for anything. We have passed our comments onto them privately for ideas on what would make the perfect stay. All in all a fabulous week away.

Lovely cottage for couple, very quiet location but close to main roads which means easy to get out and about for visiting different places. Fully equipped for cooking. Nice welcome pack. Would definitely recommend to friends. Everything you need for a relaxing break away.

A lovely converted barn in a peaceful location. It is very well equipped with everything you might need but there are no pubs, restaurants or facilities within walking distance so a car is essential.
