Escape to this stunning romantic retreat set on the hillside above the sea in Lamorna Cove. Perfect for couples who want to escape from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a peaceful location on the coast. The village of Lamorna is small but picturesque and has its own pub which can be accessed via a short stroll on a wooded lane. The cove has a lovely, sheltered beach, popular for swimming and scuba diving. Penzance (5.5 miles) is a bustling town, overlooking Mount’s Bay, with a wide range of shops, restaurants and pubs. Take a visit to the castle on the tidal island, St Michael’s Mount, off the coast from Marazion (10 miles). Alternatively, head to Land’s End (8.5 miles) and take a walk along the most westerly point in the country.

Designed exclusively for couples blending contemporary Victorian style with a supremely relaxing vibe. As you enter, the vaulted ceiling with its original beams gives a feeling of space. The large living room with its Italian hand-carved sofa filled with cushions is perfect to snuggle up in front of the large wood burner. Bespoke statement pieces of furniture complete the look and feel of this tasteful accommodation. From the living room, a large picture window looks out onto landscaped gardens with views of the ruin of Kemyel Manor steeped in history dating back a thousand years with beautiful sea views beyond. The hand-carved king-size mahogany bed dominates the bedroom with views of The Lizard lighthouse across the ocean from the bed. A doorway leads to a stylish bathroom with a shower, large double-ended slipper bath and a genuine 1890s Victorian oval wash basin, grand mirrors and soft candlelight for a relaxing soak.

The cottage is beautiful, in a lovely location, surrounded by countryside yet able to see the ocean from the cottage. We enjoyed exploring the area through the walks suggested, though some were more of a scramble than a stroll in places! We received a warm welcome and had a lovely stay
