Plan a break to this wonderfully pet-friendly holiday escape with a hot tub in South Scotland, set on a working farm that’s home to a dog agility training school, a large pond and woodland, and farm animals. This ‘hobbit style’ cabin is a perfect hideout for a couple or family searching for the chance to relax and unwind in a rural setting with views all around. When you decide to head out and about, there’s the option to enjoy trout fishing or walking at Tinto Hill, where you can enjoy views of the Clyde Valley from the summit – or other activities including horse riding and cycling. Biggar (5.5 miles) is a charming historic town nearby, boasting quaint shops, pubs and cafes to explore, while for big day trips you could travel to Edinburgh, which is less than 30 miles from this holiday home.

Unwind in the lovely lounge which is an open-plan space, ideal for getting everyone together to catch up at the end of each busy day. The entire cabin has been put together with your canine friends in mind and even has special cushioned, non-slip floors. The kitchen is equipped with all you will need during your break including a delightful table and chair set. Sit back and settle in on the comfortable sofa to watch your favourite shows or movies on the Smart TV, while the windows all around offer scenic country views. A family bedroom and a lovely wet room complete the cabin layout – the bedroom is a welcoming space and boasts a wonderful king-size bed and separate bunk beds perfect for a family.

Let your four-pawed pup run about in the enclosed outside space attached to this property which has artificial grass, seating and the fantastic private hot tub you’ll be keen to use. All six of the on-site cabins share a larger grassy area and they all overlook the large, unfenced pond. You can hire the BBQ hut from the owners for an evening dining alfresco in this idyllic setting. Perfect for your four-legged friends is the off-lead exercise field. A perfect space to explore and run freely.

The cottage was well equipped and comfy. We loved the fact we could take our 5 dogs, about the only place in Scotland that would accept us. They have a secure exercise area which you can use and lots of throws and hooks for dog leads. The hot tub was lovely for us to relax in. It was a very peaceful time away

We had a lovely time at the cottage, with our 2 dogs. Location was great and no issues with privacy. Great to have access to walks from the cottage and an enclosed dog field. Cottage was cosy and comfortable.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay in the Pig Pen. Two adults, 8yo child, and three dogs. The cottage was spotless and well equipped. It was warm day and night. Watching the stars and meteors from the hot tub was a highlight of our trip. Walks in the nearby woods were a treat. Highly recommend.
