Set within an elevated location just above the village of Llangybi which is well served with a good village pub, this single-storey wooden-clad lodge is perfect for a romantic getaway. From here, you can take advantage of the well-marked footpaths available from your front door, along with the Black Mountains and Wye Valley which are great for mountain biking trails and hiking. Just 3 miles away, the vibrant market town of Usk is steeped in history with many charming old buildings, a Norman castle, a rural life museum, beautiful churches, and an interesting town trail. Explore the many fine castles in Chepstow (18 miles), Abergavenny (16.5 miles), and Raglan (12 miles), along with a Roman amphitheatre in Caerleon (6.5 miles). The area is great for golfing with access to Green Meadow Golf and Country Club, Woodlake Park and Golf Club and The Celtic Manor with its golf club and spa, all within 8 miles.
This beautiful barn shaded by a mature weeping willow enjoys an elevated position within the grounds of a working farm. The private sweeping drive brings you to the front of the barn where you can access, via the front door, the spacious open-plan living area. The barn has been finished with vaulted ceilings, solid oak beams and large picture windows that enable you to soak up the views. The space offers a contemporary and well-equipped kitchen where you can enjoy creating a simple supper, a dining area with a generously sized table and comfortable chairs for four, and a simple rocking chair in front of a wood burner. For relaxing, the lounge area boasts a comfortable sofa and armchair as well as a Smart TV. There is also a cloakroom with WC. From the main living space, guests can access the king-size bedroom where you can relax in style watching the TV in your fluffy dressing gowns or beneath luxury bed linen. A bathroom completes the interior.
Guests can access the gardens from the bi-folding doors that front the barn. There is a small terrace that enjoys the shade of the weeping willow with a bistro table and chairs, and a more private courtyard to the side of the barn offers a table and chairs and a charcoal BBQ.
