A fabulous location whether you are active or looking for a more relaxing break, this luxury farmhouse offers something for everyone. Set in the heart of Glenshee on the eastern side of the Cairngorms, walkers can easily access the many Munros and Corbett’s in the area. In winter Glenshee Ski Centre offers 40km of piste runs, only 12 miles away. Persie Hand Crafted Gin distillery is only 4.5 miles and does a great sampling tour. The village of Braemar is 20 miles with some fantastic places to eat and Balmoral Castle is 29 miles. Pitlochry at 18 miles will keep you entertained with its selection of independent shops, Festival Theatre, and Fish Ladder & Dam. Whether relaxing, biking, walking, skiing or birdwatching, this is indeed a fabulous location.

Enter this character property into the porch area to hang up your coats and kick off your boots – it won’t take you long to settle in and relax. The open-plan lounge and formal dining area with an inglenook fireplace and wood burner offers a piano to play for the more musical minded as the evening winds down. For a relaxing evening, you might light up the wood burner and watch a movie together on the Smart TV whilst lounging on the comfy armchairs and sofas. If you enjoy cooking, the well-equipped country kitchen allows for a homecooked meal to be prepared while unwinding after the day’s activities. For alternative cooking and something a bit different there is a wood-fired pizza oven and BBQ in the garden, great for lunches or a relaxed dinner, accessed via patio doors from the kitchen/diner. The garden area to the side and rear of the property is fully enclosed and has garden seating on the patio next to the hot tub, which is positioned to take advantage of the fabulous views across the Glenshee countryside. Take the opportunity to do some amazing stargazing whilst soothing those aching limbs after a full day of skiing or walking. There is an additional enclosed small garden to the front of the property.

Fantastic holiday with family, plenty to explore, lots of great eating places and towns with independent shops. If you travel up to Balmoral, the bakery next to the primary school does an exceptional hot chocolate (according to grandkids even better than the gift shop just North of the cottage, which had earned a ten out of ten). Slightly further NRead moreorth look out for the Linn of the Dee - wonderful views. Cottage was warm and spacious - fantastic Aga for cooking and plenty of space for eating! Hide
