Located between the market towns of Penrith and Keswick, both within 10 miles, there are plenty of independent shops, pubs, and restaurants near this cottage. Set within the Lake District National Park, the beautiful Ullswater is only 6 miles away where you can enjoy paddleboarding or take a trip on a steamer. For keen hikers and hillwalkers tackling Helvellyn, one of the highest mountains in the Lake District is a must, and the pretty woodland and tumbling waterfalls at Aira Force (4.5 miles) are just stunning. For some retail therapy, head to either Penrith or Keswick, both within 10 miles and both offering independent retailers, pubs, cafes, and restaurants.

As soon as you arrive at this magnificent property you will be in awe. The owners have brought this property back to life and created a luxurious masterpiece. Heading into the house we have the cosy lounge area with seating, a wood burner, and Smart TV, perfect for an evening’s relaxation. Additionally, there is a lovely mezzanine level where you can kick back and enjoy a good book. The kitchen/diner offers space to enjoy a family meal and discuss the day's adventures. The kitchen is a cook's dream and is created to a high standard. There is an island, and plenty of worktop space for all the family to get involved in making a feast. The utility room offers even more space with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and also bike storage. Heading along the corridor we have the master bedroom which has a  Super king-size with an en-suite shower room with shower and WC plus amazing views over the fields. The last two bedrooms are doubles with additional single beds in each and then we have the main bathroom with shower over bath and WC and separate WC.

The garden boasts plenty of space for your four-legged friends to enjoy while you chill on the outdoor furniture and enjoy a glass of wine. There is also a garage suitable to store motorbikes, bikes, paddleboards or any adventure equipment you choose to bring with you.

Burnside is a beautiful property it has every thing you would need for your stay lovely and clean and comfy Great location as well Will be returning in the summer months hopefully next year as the added bonus of the garage to store a motorbike is very useful

Burnside is a beautiful property. It's very comfortable, the fittings and furnishings are of a very high quality, and everything had been well thought out. Our second visit to Burnside. It truly is the best holiday cottage weve ever stayed in. Immaculately clean, well equipped, fabulous views. Were already missing the tranquility, the fire and the daily visit from the woodpecker and other garden birds so much so weve already booked to return.

Fantastic house, fabulous location , superb views. The owners have gone above and beyond to make this a really special place to stay ... and dog friendly too .. in my experience properties of this calibre are normally out of reach for dog owners. Would highly recommend and would love to stay again in the future.

A beautiful cottage with quality fittings and equipment. We had everything we needed for a relaxing and cozy stay. Views from windows even on wet days are stunning. One of the best cottages we have so far stayed in. We will definitely be back.

Burnside is by far one of the most lovely cottages weve stayed in. We normally pay about the same rental value and feel that Burnside is great value its all the little touches and great quality furnishings and equipment throughout. Away from the crowds but within easy reach of Penrith, Keswick and fells are easily accessible. Views are amazing and Read morethe location very peacefuljust what you want after a day out. Wow Burnside was perfect, the accommodation was very clean, equipped with everything you could possibly need & more, it was spacious, I loved the log burner & there was a large supply of logs to use, it was a great location easy get to & great for walks, national park attractions, close to a local pub for evening meal etc. We really enjoyed our breRead moreak & will definitely book again. Wholeheartedly recommend this very comfortable and well-equipped house. Beds very comfy, kitchen really does have everything, a lovely view from the living room window, garden is fab and secure for dogs (unless your dogs are very small, as gate onto road has gaps that something smaller than our cocker spaniel could fit through if it tried) There isRead more tons of space in the garage for wet or dirty walking gear and ample parking for 3 cars. Burnside is a fantastic place to stay. The property is exceptionally clean and extremely well equipped throughout. Every effort has been made to provide a comfortable place to stay from the comfort of the beds to air conditioning. Stunning cottage, great location. Very secure for the dog aswell. If you are looking for a family getaway, that has a feeling of luxury with activities close. This is the place for you. Will be rebooking later on the year.

We have just got back after our 2 night stay as a family of 6 and our cocker spaniel, after having had the most amazing stay at Burnside Lodge. We were blown away with how clean, modern and spacious the lodge really is and photos online do not do it justice! Burnside house was superb, situated in an ideal and beautiful location. Amazing views , very clean , comfortable with high specification decor and facilities. Dog friendly and secure garden. Favourite spot was sitting in the comfy chair looking out of the window on the mezzanine level. Would highly recommend.

Lovely cottage with lovely garden in a quiet location with easy access to Keswick or Penrith for supermarkets. Very well equipped cottage with great views and easy access to the lakes and the Troutbeck Inn is 2 mins walk and is excellent.

Perfect. Our family have just spent a blissful week here. Absolutely stunning property. Immaculate, practical, cosy, yet spacious, pristine & well equipped. The property is of a very high standard, well appointed with everything you could possibly want. The location is fabulous with fantastic views from the large windows. The garden is large and flat and secure for dogs. The patio in the garden is a lovely place to chill out and enjoy the views.

This cottage is amazing. Everything you need is there and more, with great attention to detail. The views are wonderful from almost any of the windows.
