Conveniently located between Newtown (3.5 miles) and Welshpool (10 miles) just off the A483, you have the choice of two bustling market towns with a great mix of shopping and dining options. The stunning National Trust property Powis Castle is 11 miles away and a fine example of a medieval castle with beautiful gardens to explore. Mid Wales is popular for walking with its beautiful scenery and array of trails through the nearby hills including Bryn y Garthmyl, 4.7 miles from the property. Montgomery (6 miles) is also well worth a visit with its impressive castle and great walks along Offa’s Dyke Path.
The newly refurbished for 2022 cottage opens into the lounge/diner with comfortable sofas and a Smart TV to relax with a movie in the evenings. There is an electric feature fireplace to keep you cosy in the cooler months, and a dining table to comfortably seat two. All on one level, continue through the open-plan space into the well-equipped kitchen with all you need for self-catering. Off the kitchen there is a separate bedroom with a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request), perfect for couples or friends travelling together. Next to the bedroom is a brand-new shower room with a shower and WC. Through the kitchen is a separate summer room which creates another lovely seating area, with views across the extensive gardens and patio area.
Stepping outside through patio doors from the summer room, there is a lovely enclosed patio area for child and pet safety with outdoor furniture and a charcoal BBQ. There is access to the farmers field for well behaved dogs. There is also separate outdoor storage for bikes.
