This one-bedroom cottage is separate from the owner’s home, ensuring privacy and a relaxing stay in a picturesque location in Mid Wales. Conveniently located between Newtown (3.5 miles) and Welshpool (10 miles) just off the A483, you have the choice of two bustling market towns with a great mix of shopping and dining options. The stunning National Trust property Powis Castle is 11 miles away and a fine example of a medieval castle with beautiful gardens to explore. Mid Wales is popular for walking with its beautiful scenery and array of trails through the nearby hills including Bryn y Garthmyl, 4.7 miles from the property. Montgomery (6 miles) is also well worth a visit with its impressive castle and great walks along Offa’s Dyke Path.

The newly refurbished for 2022 cottage opens into the lounge/diner with comfortable sofas and a Smart TV to relax with a movie in the evenings. There is an electric feature fireplace to keep you cosy in the cooler months, and a dining table to comfortably seat two. All on one level, continue through the open-plan space into the well-equipped kitchen with all you need for self-catering. Off the kitchen there is a separate bedroom with a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request), perfect for couples or friends travelling together. Next to the bedroom is a brand-new shower room with a shower and WC. Through the kitchen is a separate summer room which creates another lovely seating area, with views across the extensive gardens and patio area.

Stepping outside through patio doors from the summer room, there is a lovely enclosed patio area for child and pet safety with outdoor furniture and a charcoal BBQ. There is access to the farmers field for well behaved dogs. There is also separate outdoor storage for bikes.

Lovely comfortable accommodation. Well equipped and felt very much home from home. Ideally located as a base for days out. Nothing too much trouble for the hosts who are on hand, if required. Would definitely return for another visit.

We had a lovely last minute break there. Kelly & Alan are great and freindly. The location is great for getting out and about in the car and exploring the area. The cottage is big and comformatble. The fenced in garden even kept our Frenchie puppy safe.
