A unique experience for couples looking to escape to the countryside and enjoy something just a little bit different! Relax in a truly lovely location and enjoy the rural views across the fields from this stunning shepherd hut.

Situated in a beautiful location in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this enchanting shepherd’s hut offers a peaceful escape from every day. With easy access to several local farm shops and good pubs, this is a great place for exploring 1066 Country. When not exploring the many footpaths that forge the rolling countryside, guests can visit the nearby attractions of Pashley Manor Gardens, King John’s Nursery and Bateman’s all within 6 miles of the cottage. The historic town of Battle is just 7 miles away and offers boutique shopping and the opportunity to visit the famous Battle Abbey, whilst slightly further afield you can enjoy a trip to the seaside visiting the coastal towns of Bexhill, Hastings, and Rye, all within 17 miles.

Inside, the hut has been decorated to evoke a cosy and romantic feel. There is a small kitchen area with a hob, microwave, fridge with icebox and Nespresso coffee machine – pop down the road to local farm shop to pick up some fresh produce. A folding table and chairs for dining offers an ideal spot for enjoying a romantic meal or a game of Scrabble in front of the wood burner on chilly evenings, and there is a DAB radio for some background music. The double bed sits at one end of the hut beneath dual aspect windows that offer a panoramic view over the local countryside. Start your day by sipping a morning coffee in bed whilst watching the sheep graze the fields outside. The en-suite shower room has a walk-in shower and WC with an electric towel rail to ensure that guests have warm fluffy towels each morning.

Outside the hut is a peaceful decked area with a table and chairs for enjoying al fresco meals using the charcoal BBQ. As you dine, you will notice the grazing sheep in the fields beyond and be able to watch the sun set over the vineyard – a truly unique and memorable experience.

Spotlessly clean, well-finished and well-equipped accommodation. Lovely rural aspect from the decking but it is quite close to the A21. Ready-to-light fire pit with extra logs and comfy outdoor furniture was a real bonus.

Cannot recommend highly enough. We had all weathers during our stay and enjoyed hunkering down with the fire blazing when it was cold and wet, as well as sitting with a drink overlooking the valley when the sun was out. Great location for exploring the area and the host were fantastic; so welcoming and friendly.

What a nice place if you need to get away for a few day I would recommend this little shepherds Hut and the host Wendy and Graham very friendly people they made you feel at home.

We have just returned from three nights at Pooks Rest .we throughly enjoyed our stay, such a wonderful place to relax . We had a really great stay at this property. It is a very cute little place, which is extremely well equipped and well designed. They had thought about every little detail, including providing fire wood and milk in the fridge. It was a lovely place and the owners were friendly and welcoming. We had an excellent quiet weekend away in this cabin. It's located just at the end of the garden, but the owners have done a good job of making it feel private and separate from the rest of the property. It's exactly like the pictures, and me and my girlfriend had a lovely time enjoying coffee on the decking in the morning, and sitting by the fire Read morein the evenings. My husband and I stayed at Pooks Rest for 5 nights. We had such a restful time and our hosts made us feel so welcomed. Our accommodation had everything that we needed, and it was comfortable and clean. The location is great for exploring during the day but also quiet at night. Our stay at Pooks rest was everything we needed and more. Put down your phone, forget the wi-fi and relax with a drink on the deck. Had a lovely weekend in the shepherds hut. Small but so cozy with every you need including a walk in shower, kitchen, coffee maker and a log burner. You look over a sheep field with views over the farm.
