Property code: 83703

Charming property with private gardens and beautifully furnished, creating a perfect base for those wanting to explore the Herefordshire countryside and Brecon Beacons National Park.

The peaceful hamlet of Allensmore sits deep within the Herefordshire countryside. Here you can walk from your doorstep across acres of farmland and open countryside, taking in the views and wildlife along the way. For a more challenging terrain, join the Offa’s Dyke Path on the Hatterrall Ridge, or tackle Hay Bluff and the Black Mountains. For keen anglers, the River Wye meanders close by where you can enjoy coarse fishing with a day permit. For more fun on the water, hire a canoe locally from Hereford Kayak Canoe at Preston on Wye. A trip to the vibrant market town of Hay-on-Wye is a must, where you can pick up local produce from a farmer’s market, browse the independent shops or relax and enjoy a director's choice movie at Booths Cinema.

Set within the grounds of the owner’s home, this retreat is perfect for couples wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Access is via the covered, wooden-framed parking area, where there is storage for muddy boots, bikes, and fishing equipment. Climb the stairs to enter the open-plan living space which is light and spacious and finished with a contemporary twist. The lounge area is perfect for relaxing after a long day - sink into the sofa and enjoy a good movie on the TV. For dining, the table and chairs are perfect for two. The kitchen area is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, and fridge with an ice compartment. To the front of the barn conversion is a generously sized double bedroom where you can enjoy a good night’s rest. There is a shower room with shower and WC.

Outside, tucked away to the rear of the barn, there is an enclosed garden with table and chairs and BBQ for summer dining. There is off-road covered parking for one car, and storage for bikes.

A lovely property which we can thoroughly recommend. There is a main road approx 80 metres away, but there wasn't a great deal of traffic noise.

We had the most lovely week at Apple tree loft! The place itself was clean, tidy and we'll equipped. They gave us a lovely welcome package when we arrived, we couldn't have asked for anything more. We had the most relaxing time, and the area was so peaceful, but also close enough to everything you need

Cottage is excellent, and probably one of the three best properties we have rented in the past ten years. Brilliantly equipped with good quality items. Makes a nice change to have kitchen knives that actually cut!
