With breath-taking views from every angle, this stunning barn conversion is a rural retreat for those wanting to explore The Dales, yet enjoy a little bit of luxury.

A former cow byre, this stunning converted barn is situated in a rural location on the outskirts of the hamlet of Oughtershaw. Situated on the Dales Way, with stunning views from every angle, it truly is a walkers paradise. You may recognise many of the surrounding locations as the area has been home to the series 'All Creatures Great and Small'. Spend the day exploring this picturesque paradise and visit the nearby villages of Buckden, Kettlewell and Grassington. The town of Hawes is only a short drive away with many shops, pubs and restaurants.

On entering this special property, you are greeted by a welcoming hallway, perfect for leaving your coats and muddy boots after a long day exploring. Snuggle up in the cosy lounge in front of the wood burner, or open up the patio doors and enjoy the stunning scenery and Summer sun. The kitchen/diner is the main hub of the house with luxurious marble countertops and outstanding views from every window. It is fully equipped with everything you could need including an electric oven and hob, microwave, American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, wine fridge and Dolce Gusto machine. Open the impressive bi-folding doors out to the terrace area and enjoy some al-fresco dining. Stepping through to the utility room you will find a washing machine and tumble dryer. Downstairs also benefits from a modern shower room with WC. Upstairs is just as beautiful with two light-filled bedrooms, one double and one twin. To finish this extraordinary property is a spacious bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC, where you can relax enjoy a soak after a long day touring The Dales.

The outside of this barn conversion is even more impressive than in with breath-taking views all around. A large terrace wraps around the front of the property with furniture and a BBQ so that you can sit, relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings. A truly quiet and peaceful location, set just back from a quiet road with a stream running alongside. There is a small lawned area to the front and a shed to store your bicycles. There is parking for up to three cars on the driveway, there is no electric charging facility at the property , there is a electric charging point in Buckden aproximately 5.8 miles away.  The property has its own  private water supply.

Fabulous cottage and one of the best we have ever stayed in. The fixtures and fittings are all 1st class, nicely matching and spotlessly clean. Pretty much everything has been thought of and provided to make it a real home from home. Cottage is nicely placed for walks round Buckden/Kettlewell and also Rubblehead/Horton.

The barn is in a beautiful spot in the Dales. Lots of lapwings and oyster catchers making their lovely sounds. The house is spotlessly clean and warm throughout. The kitchen has everything you need and the quality of the crockery, cutlery, bed linen, towels etc is really great. An exceptional property! It was immaculately clean, tidy, and the decor is beautiful and modern but still with a touch of a country cottage feel to it. The West Calf Barn is wonderful. Not only is the interior up to the highest standards, it feels comfortable and easy to relax in. Also, if you like to get away from it all the location is ideal. Just wow. This is easily the best holiday cottage we have stayed in. Everything has been thought of and more by Nigel and Sharon. The barn itself has been sympathetically converted and finished to a very high spec. What really impressed us was the kitchen, not just well designed but also very well equipped.
