Great for a quiet relaxing holiday. Beautiful location and well equipped cottage. The downside is it you wish to explore local towns, villages, attractions etc. Get up early to find somewhere to park!

A well equipped spacious and comfortable cottage. Fabulous and very peaceful setting with views of the lake and lawns from every window. Small patio outside kitchen door to enjoy a breakfast cuppa in the sunshine, with other seating available to sit and watch the rabbits and squirrels on the lawn. Apart from the walk in the woods on the estate, theRead morere are very few public footpaths outside of the estate. The local pub serves good food. There are lots of interesting places to visit. We had a wonderful restful break at Willow tree, the "cottage" has everything you need and is all one level so no stairs to climb (Other than the back steps into the lake area) and from the kitchen side gives a feeling of being in a detached property. The grounds are spectacular, and the location is within easy reach of interesting places to visitsRead more. You also have a beautiful 12th Century Church in your back garden. It's on our list of returns. Hide

Property was an unusual shape but ideal for a couple with a dog in need of a break. Owners friendly and helpful. We had to return a day early due to family needs but will certainly look to rebook again. Two dinners at local pub and visited most local towns which filled the week. Natural surroundings of the first order.

The owner was really welcoming and gave some recommendations on where to visit. If you get a chance visit Renshaw Bay Beach BEAUTIFUL. The grounds were lovely and peaceful, we took our 7 month old dog who had the time of her life, playing with the owners dog and exploring the grounds. You can listen to the Owls of a nighttime. The cottage had a kitRead morechen, lounge and bedroom with ensuite which gave us plenty of room, rather than just a hotel room. The views out of you kitchen door are lovely. Hide

Lovely relaxed location where you are left to enjoy the glorious surrounding gardens and woodland and no fuss or instructions hamper your stay. But the cottage was run down - the hot water erratic and the kitchen crockery basic. Perfect if youre going out a lot, but limited if you plan to cosy up and stay in.

The cottage was very comfortable and its location was idyllic. It was in a peaceful and beautiful environment surrounded by ducks on the lake, rabbits in the bushes and deer on the woods. 1 mile up a traffic free lane is the Black Horse Inn with good beer and delicious food. Whilst the cottage could be said to be in the middle of nowhere it is centRead moreral to Richmond and Northallerton and next door to. 12th Century Church in the grounds of the beautiful Hall. Hide
