Jump on a steam train at Dean Forest or Perrygrove Railways, explore atmospheric Puzzlewood, exciting Go Ape! or just stroll around the Forest Sculpture Trail or Cyril Hart Arboretum. Step back into forest history at The Dean Heritage Centre and the Hopewell Colliery. For those wanting to explore further afield you are not far from the Wye Valley - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - great for climbing around Symonds Yat, Wye River walks, kayaking and even caving. Gloucester, Cardiff and Bath all make lovely day trips.
