Chic cottage, a stylish romantic retreat for two adult guests, situated in the quiet village of Bouth, just four miles from the edge of picturesque Lake Windermere.

A stay at this lovely cottage can be as relaxing or as active as you like, with the Lake District having much to offer to visitors no matter what their tastes. Those who are looking for adventure will find a huge range of outdoor pursuits on offer from watersports on Lake Windermere, to hiking in the mountains, climbing, or even lesser-known activities such as canyoning and ghyll scrambling. For visitors who want to enjoy the area’s unique landscape from a more leisurely perspective, there are many miles of scenic lakeside walks to be enjoyed, as well as relaxing cruises on the lake, perhaps stopping for lunch at Ambleside or Bowness. There are also many properties of note in the area, such as Hill Top, former home to Beatrix Potter, and Dove Cottage where William Wordsworth once lived. The village farm has a tea room, home made dairy ice cream from their own Jersey cows, a gift and interior shop, and they run steam and tractor experience days.

Two stone steps lead from the garden up to the front door of this cottage, which opens directly into the cosy lounge/diner. This charming room, with its rough-rendered walls, wood burner, and comfortable seating is a wonderfully relaxing retreat from the outside world and offers a Smart TV, as well as an iPod dock. The cottage’s kitchen is modestly-sized and yet well-equipped offering an oven, hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, whilst the washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in the separate external utility room. The bathroom with its shower over spa bath can also be found on the ground floor of the cottage, whilst the separate WC and romantic king-size bedroom with its chic dressing room can be found upstairs on the first floor.

Outside, to the front of the property, there is a generously-sized garden with a well-tended lawn and patio seating area which affords views over the neighbouring fields. There is garden furniture, as well as bike storage and a parking for one car.
