Beautiful apartment in a beautiful location. Its the perfect base to explore the area. The apartment is clean and well equipped but we found the fire didn't work well and we ended up paying a fortune for logs from the local shop. The heating isn't adjustable and the apartment was chilly at times. There are places to eat in the village and I'm coeliRead moreac and managed very well to dine here. Poppi Red was amazing. All in all we had a really lovely break. Hide

Just the most perfect place to stay fabulously located and super comfy. The log burner just made it more perfect. The photos on the web site dont do it justice. The underfloor heating made the place feel so cosy and the kitchen was incredible. 5* standard. We know the village and love how friendly everyone is. The bed was really comfy too. Goosefoot is a beautifully converted apartment and very well equipped in the centre of Hawkshead. We loved staying there and had a peaceful and relaxing break. We did struggle to eat out in Hawkshead as two of the pubs in the village don't serve food and one of the remaining two was booked for many weeks ahead which left only one choice. The Tapas Read morebar and village chippy were excellent and the Co-op is very well stocked. We would definitely return. Hide

Perfect location, very nice property. Unfortunately it was let down by a few small things - the heating was operated by the owner and we couldn't turn up or down, so at points we were either really cold or really hot! The bed was two single mattresses pushed together. No basic kitchen items such as salt and pepper, oil, tea/coffee ect. No hand soapRead more at the sinks, especially with covid is a necessary! We really enjoyed our stay however it was just those few minor problems. Hide
