We've got some beautiful properties, including Town Street Barn; sitting in the heart of the unspoilt Peak District village of Brassington, it has its own cinema, complete with a retro cabinet containing traditional cinema snacks – perfect for cosy nights in.
Because The Peak District has been used as a film location for many major movies and TV series, it makes a fantastic film buff’s base to spend days visiting film locations close by.

Chatsworth House
Chatsworth House
Chatsworth House plays a prominent role in several period dramas, including:
- Death Comes to Pemberley - a 2013 TV series
- Jane Eyre - a 2011 film starring Mia Wasikowska and Jamie Bell
- The Duchess - a 2008 film starring Keira Knightley and Ralph Fiennes about the life of 18th century aristocrat Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire
- Jane Eyre - a 2006 TV series
- Pride and Prejudice - a 2005 film, where Chatsworth was the exterior of Pemberley
- Lady Jane - a 1986 film
The Derbyshire Dales
Beautiful Dovedale
The Other Boleyn Girl, a 2008 movie, used the Derbyshire Dales scenery of Cavedale and Dovedale.

Wingfield Manor
Jane Eyre, both the 2006 TV series and the 1996 film, were filmed at the English Heritage site of Wingfield Manor.
Military and second world war films
Colditz, the 1972 TV series, used Calver Mill in the Hope Valley for some of the exterior shots of Colditz Castle.
Some of the aerial shots in the classic 1955 film The Dam Busters were filmed around Derwent Reservoir, Howden Reservoir and Ladybower Reservoir in the Peak District National Park.

For lovers of comedy
For those fans of quirky BBC comedy The League of Gentlemen, a visit to the village of Hadfield (Roytson Vasey) is a must. The whole The League of Gentlemen TV Series was filmed here, as well as the 2005 film The League of Gentlemen’s Apocalypse.
