Spend the day on a beach
You don’t have to go far at all to enjoy some great beaches from Rhoscolyn House. The house sits above Borthwen beach which is a large sandy cove with rock pools to explore close to the house. Perfect for an early morning or evening stroll.
On the other side of the back is another small beach where you may be lucky enough to spot seals in the bay.
A little further past Borthwen beach, less than a 2 mile walk along the coast path you come to Silver Bay Beach. Though it may not be worth the walk as there is a caravan site not far away so it is bound to be busier than Borthwen.
If you want to explore sand dunes and don’t mind a little drive back over four mile bridge on to the main land, then you can visit the beaches of Traeth Cymyran and Traeth Crigyll. They sit right next to Valley Airforce base at Rhosneigr (14 mile drive away) or can be reached via a long coast path walk.
