In August 2016, we teamed up with Peak District photography tuition company World in Focus to offer one lucky winner a fantastic prize: 3 nights at Robin Hood Cottage, near Baslow and a day’s photography tuition. Our winner contacted us after his stay to say:

“Thanks to all at Sheepskin and World in Focus for my excellent prize.”

Town Street Barn is stylish with a good location and a really nice owner next door.”

Helen, February 2017

Red Kite Barn has been the perfect place to spend a few quiet days between the madness of Christmas and returning to work. The architecture and design are fab, with lots of fun features to play with – we also enjoyed the huge bed… we had a lovely few days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Many thanks.”

Louise, Jonny and Ralph (the dog), January 2017

Jane, David, Mellie, Joe, Jan and Peter, January 2017

“We’ve stayed in a lot of these type of places before, but never anything like this. It’s amazing. Everything about it is perfect. We will be back.”

Nik, Hugo and Bear, January 2017

“A well appointed cottage in a stunning location; we loved the solitary sheep in the garden each morning!”

Debbie, January 2017

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was cleaned to a high standard upon our arrival and the welcome hamper was a lovely touch. We loved the ‘upside/down’ layout of the cottage and the retro furnishing. The highlight of Town Street Barn has to be its private cinema room, which we used every night.”

Australian travel magazine ‘Get Lost’ featured Red Kite Tree Tent in an article on Weird and Wonderful Places to Stay (January 2017 edition).

“Millbroook was very clean, as quirky as we expected from the description… fun to stay in and the log burning fire was wonderful. Excellent location for local walks and for popping into the local town.”

Debbie, Gloucestershire, December 2016

“Had a wonderfully relaxing honeymoon at the barn, enjoying the perfect isolation. Beautiful walks in the valley and some spectacular views to be had. Equally enjoyed staying in watching films and reading. The perfect end to our wedding. Thanks.”

Mike and Gem, Ely and Cambs, December 2016

“Working on the photo shoot for Sett Cottage was my first visit to the Peak District and I must say I was not disappointed by the cottage or the surrounding area. Sett Cottage is a great place to arrive on a Friday night, park your car and not get back into it until the end of your stay!

It is only a short stroll into the village of Hayfield where you find shops, pubs and cafes and also a regular bus service that can take you into larger towns.

Whether you are looking to relax and enjoy dining out or get the adrenaline pumping exploring Hayfield and the Peak District on foot or by mountain bike, the property caters for it all. I can’t wait to visit again!”
