WoodenstoneIlfracombe, Devon Sleeps 12
Tall and dignified on the hillside with commanding views of land and sea, an Admiral once lived here.

Woodenstone’s formal Victorian uniform hides a vibrant personality comfortable with breaking the rules. There’s a gesture to original features but more emphasis on originality. Room after room of light and space, each with a confident and quirky, contemporary style but always a reminder of how it was before. Not for the purists, more for those wanting an intriguing venue for that special gathering, a place that adds colour to the stories you take home.
From the terrace, watch this up and coming town from a secluded distance, it changes as the day drifts and the white houses swap places with the evening lights. From the top of the garden, follow the coast path past cliffs and fields to beaches peppered with bohemian surfers and wonder what the Admiral would think of it now.
