Wayside, in the Dyfi valley is a tranquil place to soothe the soul, perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation and some valuable ‘me time’.
A traditional Welsh cottage with bags of character; original walls and exposed beams marry well with luxuriously comfortable beds. Inside and outside original features hold hands with modern comforts all with a considered finishing touch to make Wayside a warm and welcoming home from home.

Things you should know
The mobile reception is poor depending on network but you can get a signal back along the lane in Dinas Mawddwy.
There is a payphone in the cottage if you need to stay in touch (the number will be in your guide so that you can let people know how to contact you).
There are wireless internet facilities at Wayside.
Pets unfortunately can’t be accepted at Wayside.

No visit to Snowdonia would be complete without a visit to a narrow gauge railway. The Talyllyn railway is one of the nearest to Wayside and spring Barn.

Mawddach restaurant, we think, is the best food in the area. It’s housed in a stunning building that combines traditional with contemporary design and has stunning views over the estuary and down to Cadair Idris.

We are as flexible as possible with arrival date and length of stay.
We have a minimum booking of 3 nights and, during peak holiday times, a minimum of 7 night stays.
The preferred arrival day for Wayside is Saturday.

We’re here to take the hassle away from booking and planning your holiday.

Most importantly there are no hidden extras, the price below includes everything from tea towels to bath towels, utilities of course and essential extras such as logs for the fire.
The price also includes ‘Special touches’ like your guide tailored sent to you to help you plan your holiday, sumptuous Sheepskin bathrobes and a welcome hamper.
We want you to relax and enjoy your holiday so no security deposit to worry about either. This works because our guests are like our owners they respect and appreciate beautiful places and other people’s precious homes.
Accidents do happen and if damage does occur during your stay we will ask for reasonable contribution towards the cost of repairs or replacements.
