Wayside Reviews

“We wanted to let you know that we had a lovely time at Wayside Cottage, the place was beautiful and the Sheepskin experience is definitely one we’d recommend to our friends and family!” Ben

“This is such an amazing cottage in the most wonderful location.  We have loved every single minute of our stay here.  There are too many highlights to mention.  The rural drives, wonderful walks are just superb. Thank you so much for the warmth of your welcome”

“Apart from some of the finest walking country in Wales highlights also include; 23 Swallows perched on the powerline by the cottage one sunny morning, 4 ravens flying over the high crags about Pennant, 2 Red Kites lit up by bright sunshine as they soared above and tawny owls hooting in the darkness.  A fantastic cottage, excellent walks and wonderful scenery.  Thank you!”

“Thank you for making the cottage so homely and warm.  There was nothing miss and we felt at home.  Thank you for giving the children a ride on the quad bike! We are so upset to leave” Nueheim, Miriam, Henry & Rifky.

“A very enjoyable week. Fabulous cottage, home from home. Good weather, fantastic scenery. Great cycle ride around Lake Vrnwy. Enjoyable coastal train ride from Barmouth to Pwllheli. Many thanks”

“A delightful week was had by three generations from 15 to 92 years! Everyone is leaving happy after snuggling down in front of the fires, walking in the soft rain, all very magical.  Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.”

“We had a fabulous time at Wayside this weekend. The cottage was perfect for our needs, particularly the nice big kitchen and the log fire. And of course, its setting is truly stunning. We did the first of your recommended walks (boy did we ache after that one!) and also went to Aberdovey for a walk along the beach. It was sunny all weekend!
So thank you very much from all of us, we’d certainly recommend it to our friends…” Amy

“We had a great time at Wayside, so time to think about our next break!  We would like to try Lletty this time” – Ruth & Colin

“What an unexpected haven of warmth and comfort clinging to the most picturesque valley. The drive out of the village towards Wayside was itself an adventure with the tiny road climbing and twisting, and although the drive was less than 2 miles you seemed to be in the very centre of your own valley.” –  Mary and Steve
