Nearly as old as the rolling hills in which it sits, Tudor Lodge is a beautiful medieval longhouse with charm, character and intrigue in every room.

Inside Tudor Lodge

• Magnificent master bedroom in the eaves, approached via old stone staircase
• Second bedroom up some ladder steps above the kitchen has a double bed & sofa
• Cosy, third bedroom downstairs, with old wood panelled walls & double bed
• Simple shared bathroom downstairs with shower over bath, towels & robes supplied
• Generous lounge with huge open fire, cosy sofas & a TV
• Kitchen with large social dining table, Rayburn and microwave
• Wonderful old wood panelled entrance hall

Outside Tudor Lodge

• Large private garden, with quaint, formal box hedges and open lawns
• Plenty of sheltered hideaway spots to share a glass of wine or just stare at the view
• Adjoining open meadows and fields to just wander around

Things you should know

Cooking is on an Aga type (Rayburn) cooker, straight forward once you’ve got the hang of it.

Tudor Lodge has just one simple bathroom, with a shower over the roll top bath, so don’t plan to rush out in the morning if there are six of you.

If you are less agile, the steep ladder steps to the second bedroom may be a bit of a struggle.

Many of the internal walls and floors are made of original materials using original methods so may not be as sound proofed as you are used to.

Mobile reception is inconsistent depending on network. There are no internet facilities. You can often get a signal higher up the lane otherwise it’s back to the main road.

Pets are most welcome at Tudor Lodge.
