Old FarmNear Bala, near Snowdonia, Wales Sleeps 6
Like a tuxedo worn beneath a big overcoat, this sleek, city loft lounges comfortably in farm buildings reclaimed from the hills.

Deep in a valley of farmland and copses, you reach Old Farm along an undulating rough track. It sits alone at the base of a tall rocky hill with fields in front alive with the peaceful sounds of meandering sheep and heathland birds. This rugged and confident building has been given new life by its visionary owners with restored stonework and modern features.
Step inside and take a moment to adjust because it’s not what you expect. Wooden beams, quirky windows and exposed stone walls always remind you of where you are but enjoy an open plan, modern world of fine woodwork and showroom kitchen. Pad about in socks warmed by under floor heating and ask yourself again about the downsides of living in the country.
