Deep in a valley of farmland and through the groves, you reach Old Farm along an undulating rough track. The converted barn sits alone at the base of a tall, rocky hill with fields in front alive with the peaceful sounds of meandering sheep and heathland birds. This rugged, remote and confident large holiday home has been given new life by its visionary owners with restored stonework and contemporary modern features.

Step inside and take a moment to adjust because it’s not what you expect. Wooden beams, quirky windows and exposed stone walls always remind you of this countryside haven but you can equally enjoy an open plan, modern world of fine woodwork, cool design and a showroom kitchen. Pad about in socks warmed by under floor heating and ask yourself again why you didn’t try this property sooner.

Inside Old Farm

• A magnificent, stylish open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area perfect for family and friends.
• Cook a feast in the fully equipped modern kitchen using latest Siemens appliances and of course a dishwasher to help too.
• In case you tire of the outdoor adventures and peaceful valley views there is a flat screen digital TV, Playstation, DVD player and B&W iPod docking station.
• Luxurious under floor heating upstairs and downstairs.
• Master bedroom upstairs with double bed and spacious en-suite shower room.
• Downstairs, the two twin bedrooms have views across the valley.  These two bedrooms both have single beds that zip together to make superkings as required, therefore suitable for a family with children or couples.
• Downstairs bathroom with shower and freestanding bath with a private view looking out over the fields.
• A Cot, highchair and a stair-gate all can be provided on request.
• Board games are available for those cosy family evenings by the fire.

Things you should know

The tarmac runs out about half a mile from Old Farm. Access is along a farm track which will be fine for most cars but low slung sports cars may struggle.

Mobile phone reception is a little patchy inside the cottage, no internet.

When you arrive at our cottages you will find beds made with soft cotton sheets, marshmallow duvets, cosy welsh blankets & generous bedspreads

Hotel style comforts with sumptuous Sheepskin bathrobes, fluffy cotton towels, an occasional sheepskin rug and B&W iPod docking station so don’t forget your iPod!

We provide all that you need from tea towels, toilet tissue and dishwasher tablets to a generous supply of logs for the log burner and a jute shopping bag (as part of your welcome gift) to take home with you!

With our compliments, for your arrival, there will be a Sheepskin jute bag for you to keep. In the bag you will find; extra virgin olive oil, natural rock salt, fresh black peppercorns, Sheepskin’s own blend roast and ground coffee, tea bags and some tasty treats!

You can also add your own finishing touches by choosing one of our two delicious Tapas selections.  Ordered separately and delivered to your cottage, our tapas are a perfect solution for an informal, delicious meal when you first arrive at the cottage or simply when you don’t want to cook, see our delicatessen page for more details.

Old Farm Availability

As with all of our properties we are as flexible as possible with arrival date and length of stay with a minimum booking of 3 nights.  However during peak holiday times this property is only available for a minimum of 7 night stays.
