ManalNorth of Carmarthen, Brechfa forest, Wales Sleeps 2–4
A retired farmer hiding like a recluse in the forest.
Restful now after long years of farming, this remote luxury cottage is still surrounded by farm fields in its secluded tranquil valley. Manal holds on to its simplicity and remains disconnected from the outside world to give you the chance to completely relax and take time out in this rustic, rural retreat. Escape and step out of the everyday rush and push of modern life, slow down and relax in this unique haven as soon as you arrive.
The days punctuated not by alarm clocks and rush hours but by the dawn chorus of forest birds and woodpeckers and the peaceful lullaby of the owl. It’s easy to escape here for some well-deserved me-time and live at a slower pace, the house is filled with books you’ll want to stay to read and surrounded by forest walking and biking tracks you’ll want to explore.

Manal Reviews
Manal joined Sheepskin in the summer of 2011, so until now few people have had the privilege of enjoying this place other than the owner, who loves his time there.
I have stayed there too and I absolutely did not want to leave, David our photographer had to drag me away otherwise we would never have got the pictures onto our website! But guest reviews are most important and now we can share feedback from recent guests.
Why not sample the peace and tranquility at Manal and give your own review…
“The cottage was secluded and off the beaten path, a hide away to appreciate the surroundings and properly unwind. Inside was rustic and the living wood burner and couch was perfect and so peaceful. The bed was incredible and we settled in too well. Sad to leave but I think we’ll have to return!” Olliver, December 2011
“Very relaxing, the cottage was lovely. No real complaints, we very much enjoyed our stay and the tranquillity that Manal offered.” Chris, September 2011
“3 very happy customers. The house was absolutely lovely, and we couldn’t have had a more peaceful and relaxing time. By some margin the best self catering cottage I’ve ever stayed in. Great simplicity and attention to detail. Huge fan of the coffee and the rest of the generous welcome pack.” Tim & Natalia, August 2011
