Since it worked hard pressing apples, Cider House has always had a strong relationship with its natural surroundings. Today it relaxes in a tranquil garden always full of colour through the seasons.
Life at Cider House is encouraged to go more slowly. Stroll from the door over fields or more challenging walk in the Brecon Beacons.
Nearby renowned restaurants and great local places to enjoy great food and local ciders, ales and wines.
Home to comfortable surrounds, while away afternoons on the patio, evenings snuggled by the fire and enjoy lazy mornings in the sumptuous hand-made bed.

Things you should know
Cider House is next to the owner’s home. However the orientation of the buildings ensures privacy and seclusion for all.
The bedroom is long and generous in floor space but a little short in height, be careful not to bump your head on the sloping roof.
The kitchen is fully equipped but does not have a dishwasher.
Cider House is intended to be a place to escape…
TV unfortunately has very poor reception. Cider House has a DVD player and we have provided a few DVDs but it’s best to bring your own.
Mobile reception is poor depending on your network. You can get a signal if you walk about 200m out of the dip. There are no internet facilities.
Pets unfortunately can’t be accepted at Cider House.

Marvel at the remains of a 13th century castle, built beside the River Monnow. Located in the famous town of Abergavveny.
This 10 mile Brecon Beacons walk gives both valley and high level walking, taking in beautiful sights, both man made and of nature!
This eight day walking Festival is at the end of February and consists of a number of guided walks of various grades all led by local experienced guides.

Cider House Availability
We are as flexible as possible with arrival date and length of stay.
Cider House Cottage has a minimum stay of 4 nights and 5 nights during peak holiday times so that the owners can make the most of their leisure time too.
Our calendars are up to date at the end of each working day.
Bookings are subject to availability and on a first come first served basis. To reserve the dates you want completing our booking form is the fastest way.

our prices include everything from tea towels to bath towels
and special extras such as logs for the fire, bathrobes and a welcome hamper there when you arrive.
The price also includes your tailored guide to help plan your holiday.

Accidents do happen and if damage does occur during your stay we ask for a reasonable contribution towards the cost of repairs or replacements.

Cider House is available for short breaks, (min 4 nights) year round, except peak holiday times.
Come back soon… Stay again with Sheepskin, within 6 months, booking ‘off-peak’ for 5 nights or more and we’ll reduce the standard rate by 10% for you.
When we receive your booking form we will reserve your requested dates for 5 days and we will be in touch to confirm all the finer details with you.
