Whether it’s the marvellous garden or the unique, stylish craftsmanship in the cottage, loving care and passion for details embrace you at Cider House.

“A midsummer night’s dream and more. Magical in every way.” Henry and Caroline
From when it worked hard pressing apples, Cider House has always had a strong relationship with its natural surroundings. Today it relaxes in a tranquil garden alive with the colours of the changing seasons. Life at Cider House is encouraged to go more slowly. Touches of luxury and the sumptuous bed to while away mornings with the cosy log burner bringing on the early hours with ease.
…noted as The Times’ Best Romantic Hideaway!
“We had a very enjoyable few days in a wonderful property thank you…lot of style and charm. The information was very very good and we knew exactly what to expect for the stay. The welcome box is also a great idea. All in all one of the best cottages we have stayed in.” Duncan, May 2011

Things you should know
Cider House is stand-alone but next to the owner’s home. However the relationship of the buildings does ensure privacy and seclusion.
The bedroom is long and generous in floor space but a little short in height, be careful not to bump your head on the sloping roof.
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking a feast but has no dishwasher.
Lounge on the cosy sofa in front of the generous log burner and listen to music on the B&W Zeppelin iPod docking station, but the TV unfortunately has very poor reception. Cider House has a DVD player and we have provided a few DVDs but it’s best to bring your own.
Mobile reception is poor depending on your network. You can get a signal if you walk about 200m out of the dip. There are no internet facilities.
Pets unfortunately can’t be accepted at Cider House.
