New Europe Editorial
The New Europe: Many of our readers based on
the European mainland already have their favourite
haunts on the continent. Can you tempt them across
the channel?
Helen Howitt: Of course. There is the draw of our historic
cities to begin with, but as with all countries, you must venture
out and explore to really find the true culture and heritage.
I’ve been privelleged to travel the world in search of beautiful
places, but when I return to Britain with fresh eyes I see that
many of the best are right here on my doorstep. The stunning
landscapes of Britain’s National Parks are the perfect place
to start if you are looking for somewhere to escape and enjoy
time and space to explore.
The Brecon Beacons, in south Wales, offers breathtaking
landscapes of sandstone peaks, open moorland and green
valleys and is understandably popular with artists. As you
explore the majestic mountains, caves and castles you may
see Welsh mountain ponies running wild and elegant Red
Kites which are now thriving in the area.
Why not plan your visit around one of the world……..
