Hidden away down a quiet country road, this spacious luxury property enjoys wonderful views out to endless rolling hills, and is set in a great location within the beautiful Peak District National Park. Photographers will love the endless valley vistas waiting to be captured, while there are also plenty of great walks and cycle rides to be had in the area; head to nearby Tissington to take on the 13-mile Tissington Trail. Some of the area’s best-known attractions can also be easily reached, which include the Chatsworth Estate, as well as some lovely towns and villages such as Bakewell and Buxton where you can pick up some delicious local produce and souvenirs to take home.

Upon entering the property, you will be greeted by the lounge, a great space to unwind and enjoy the far-reaching views out over the garden and the surrounding countryside. Sink into the sofa next to the feature fireplace with wood burner and catch up on your favourite shows with the Smart TV. Through the lounge you can reach the open-plan kitchen/diner, where there is dining table perfect for all occasions. The well-stocked kitchen features everything you need to feel at home, including a gas hob, double electric oven, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and Bluetooth radio. There is also a convenient downstairs WC.

This property boasts two comfortable bedrooms: a super king-size and a king-size zip-and-link which can be presented as twin beds on request. Both spacious bedrooms have the added features of substantial wooden beams to the vaulted ceiling, seating area and beautifully fitted en-suites. Outside there is a large lawned area and terrace with teak furniture where you can really make the most of the property’s beautiful surroundings and far reaching views.

Should you wish to dine al fresco, there is also a BBQ to use during the summer months as well as a dining table and chairs. To the rear of the property, there is an outdoor boot store perfect for wet and muddy shoes, found just before the entrance.

Our second visit within the last year. Cottage, enclosed garden and quiet location are ideal . Within easy reach of trails make it perfect for walking, cycling and dog friendly. The garden was perfect for our dog. There are lots of National Trust properties within easy reach. We shall return.

A very comfortable, spacious barn, very well appointed. The stairs are quite difficult as so deep , with the rail partly on one side.

Hawksmoor Barn is in an idyllic situation. It offers total peace but is convenient for visiting all local centres and amenities. It is well equipped and comfortable. We were two couples staying and the bedroom/ bathroom arrangement offered complete privacy for both.

A well appointed, warm and spacious house in an idyllic part of the Peak District. Lots of walks nearby (close to Tissington Trail) and well served by a good selection of local pubs. Easy access to Buxton and Bakewell and not far from Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Tissington Hall.

The cottage was fabulous and we had an amazing time. The bedrooms and bathroom were spacious & luxurious. The downstairs space was very homely and relaxing after a days hiking. The garden was a wonderful safe haven for our dog and she loved playing there. The surrounding countryside was so beautiful and peaceful given the nearest property was over Read morehalf a mile away. The main towns & hikes were only 15-30mins away and we enjoyed a beautiful circular walk to Hartington directly from the house. Hide

This property has been one of the best we have stayed at in the UK - and weve stayed in quite a few! The location is just stunning. Pros - Very spacious property, which was warm and comfortable. Towels and linen were good of good quality and kitchen was adequately equipped. The cottage, although remote, is in a good location with a welcoming pub within a 40 minute walk. Cons - Some more attention to detail is required. ie Tin opener and Tv remotes didnt work! Amazing location, peaceful and quiet yet within east driving distance to Bakewell and Ashbourne. The property was beautifully appointed and very warm, just what we needed in the snow! High quality towels and bedding added to the experience. Well certainly be booking again for a break next year.

My wife and I had an absolutely fantastic week away at the barn. The woods at the back were perfect with a dog on the days where the weather kept us mostly inside. Particular recommendations are the Royal Oak pub nearby, excellent food and very friendly staff, and walking in the next valley over near Pilsbury. Will definitely be returning.

We had a good week, the cottage was comfortable and nicely warm, instant lovely hot water. Walking to the pub wasnt easy as there was no footpath, but only 5 minutes to drive. We really enjoyed eating in so cant comment on restaurants nearby. As it looks, it is in the middle of no where but we were quite happy with that, easy drive to good walks. I have stayed at many of your properties and some are better than others, but this one did not make us feel welcome. Wed had a long drive up to get there and just to be able to make a cup of tea would have been nice. There was no dog bowl for our dog and I think thats bad considering we have to pay extra for her. Hawksmoor Barn is in an idyllic situation. The house is beautiful with every facility. We enjoyed very hot weather and the thick walls provided us with a cool sanctuary. It is in an excellent spot for walks and visiting places of interest. We enjoyed a wonderful week there.

The barn is an amazing and quality place to stay. It is a perfect location to get away from everything and yet close to some wonderful places to visit and explore. It is well equipped and allows you to experience home from home in the middle of of the countryside. Would recommend this accommodation and would not hesitate to return in the future.

A superb holiday in an excellent cottage. Quality interior, spotless inside, with everything you needed to make a lovely break, perfect. Stunning, idyllic setting, so quiet and peaceful but close to amenities if required. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this first rate accommodation to anyone who wants to visit the Peak District.

A lovely spacious cottage in a quiet rural setting, yet within easy driving distance to lots of major attractions and great walking. The cottage is extremely comfortable and has been beautifully decorated and furnished. We loved coming back in the evening to relax after a long day hill walking and site seeing. Would definitely recommend.

Location breath taking and stunning. You can walk from the cottage (with dog)as the roads are so very quiet and cut through some amazing scenery. The cottage itself was not unclean but not spotless.
