Image Seen workshops
We are teaming up with Sarah Howard at Image Seen to provide some fabulous photography workshop weekends from our properties. Starting in March 2012, at Shell House in Devon.
Who is the workshop for?
The workshop is for anyone who wants to improve their photography; whether you’re a complete beginner new to the exciting world of digital photography, “converting” from traditional film photography or just getting to grips with a new camera, Image Seen will help you to get the most from your camera and improve your photography. You will receive practical and technical advice, as well as individual guidance and hands on demonstrations in the field. You will also look at the creative side of photography and developing your vision.
The programme
Participants will meet at Shell House around 6:30pm on Friday 30th March for an introductory talk and discussion about each individual’s needs and aims – an essential aspect of ensuring that every participant gets as much as possible from the course.
The next two days will be full, starting with a dawn photographic shoot both days (weather permitting) and this is of course optional if you are not an early riser!) and continuing through until Sunday evening.
You will visit a number of locations over the weekend which will offer you numerous challenges and allow you to fully explore your creative potential. There will be time to review and have feedback from Sarah on your images from the Saturday shoot as we look back on the days photography.
The workshop has a relaxed format and is designed to be enjoyable as well as educational, so aside from improving your photography you can also enjoy the beautiful surroundings and most importantly have fun! We don’t forget that this a holiday too so we have time to relax and chat over dinner and in the bar in the evenings.
Cost per photographer:
£660 per person booking as an individual and requiring single occupancy in one of the double bedrooms.
£510 per person if booked as part of a couple sharing a double room (both taking part in the photography course)
If your partner wants to come along and just enjoy the location rather than take part in the workshop then they can join you for £180 for the 3 nights (sharing the double room).
A minimum number of 4 photographers will be needed to run the workshop and a maximum of 8 (sharing the four double bedrooms) can be accommodated.
