An array of great eating places within walking distance with The Griffin only 0.5 miles away and the more luxurious Llangoed Hall only 1.5 miles from the door as well as a great local ale pub, the Bridge Inn at the end of the road too.  There is plenty to do to work up an appetite with fishing, canoeing, biking, riding and climbing all nearby.  A visit to Hay on Wye with its intriguing book and coffee shops is a must and the market in Brecon is also well worth a visit.

For such a small town Laugharne has an array of places to eat and drink with two good pubs in town, the Green Room offering laid back lunches, Hurst House is perfect for evening drinks in their cocktail bar and just round the corner from Great House the quirky but wonderful Cors restaurant.

There’s something for everyone in this paradise for outdoor enthusiasts; watch Cormorants and Oystercatchers from the garden, walk the Anglesey coast path from the front gate or kayak from the beach next to the house or climb on the coastal cliffs.
At the end of a day packed with activities it is just a half mile stroll to the award winning and royal favourite, White Eagle pub where you can treat yourself to local favourites such as steamed Menai Oysters and Salt Marsh Lamb.

Shell House, an extraordinary building located on the beach at Porlock Weir.
Just a short stroll from two excellent restaurants and a real ale pub.  Andrews on the Weir and Miller’s restaurants Andrew’s and Miller’s both offering fantastic food and wine menus and harbour views.  The Bottom Ship Inn is a great real ale pub that also offers an extensive menu with constantly changing specials all from locally sourced produce.

When a day in the hills has you in need of refreshment and a wholesome meal you are spoilt for choice in Hathersage. The best place to eat is undoubtedly The George Hotel, using many ‘home-made’ and local ingredients they have a regularly changing menus. The Scotsmans Pack is a great local pub that offers traditional, pub food and local ales.  The Little John the closest to the Music Mill is best for hand pulled local ales.
